More often than not I root for OTP.
But here is my problem. They meet after ten minutes we start the drama, by episode 4 they are in love, but there are 16-18 episodes in total, so all the 12-14 episodes are about them getting hurt, losing friends (because they are in love with the main lead), at some point sacrificing something important for them, maybe losing chances for career success or jumping in fire for their loved one.
By the end they get their happy ending and I am super happy, but at some point I wonder if it was worth it. I mean, in the first ten minutes they didn’t seem all that unhappy to me. Sure, they had few little troubles, but nothing serious. Wouldn’t it have been better for both leads if they never met? They could find someone else with whom loveline would be a lot more calmer and safer.
I guess, that’s what differs good written loveline from the great one, like in Healer, Mask, Secret, or all the other dramas where I shipped OTP like there was no tomorrow. You spend whole episode seeing main leads apart, seeing their problems and lives (which revolve around other things except lovelife) and you just know that something NEEDS to be changed for them to be happy and they need exactly this other person, and whatever needs to change would be worth it.

#Just Between Lovers I have high hopes for you. Please don’t disappoint me
