Today has been one of those bittersweet days in the KPop industry. I woke up this morning to the wonderful news of BIG BANG Taeyang’s wedding announcement, only to then discover the tragic news about SHINee Jong Hyun passing away. It was another reminder of how unpredictable life can be.
People often think that the entertainment industry is glamorous and exciting, but neglect to realise that there is also so much truth and pain hidden behind it. So many talented artists have to conceal their sufferings just to protect that perfect image for their fans and the media. I can’t imagine how unbearable that is.
No one ever deserves to choose death as an option. How much did Jong Hyun suffer alone for him to make such a brave and tough decision? It’s sad to think that he had no one he could rely on to help him get through it all.
*sigh*
Anyway…Congratulations Taeyang and Hyorin!!
But also…RIP Jong Hyun and stay strong SHAWOLS!!
