“You did well” ~ those words he requested are so important and so often unsaid. How like a songwriter that, even at the end, he expresses the words of many hearts, of words that are desperately longed for.
To all my fellow Beanies, and all others today, whether you knowingly need it or not, you did well.
Let us use the words he left us with to make a better world.
Those are words I’ve longed for so much at my lowest pouts, for someone to just tell me “you did well.”
It is heavy, when you feel the burden of making your life a success, the burden of not being a failure, of mattering.
