I watched Forest of Secrets yesterday with my mom (we watched 7 episodes straight) but I till don’t get the hype. It’s too plain tbh. Does it pick up? Coz I can’t see it as best drama of 2017 so far.
I had the same problem! Everything was well shot but I wasn’t seeing all the surprises that Beanies kept talking about. I did love my main characters (individually and their bond) but everything else just seemed so slow. The last three episodes turned me into a mess. It felt like all the build up was given such a great pay off. There were lots of tears and a nice warmness at the end.
Good to know that the end left you feeling that way. It does feel slow because they’re only after one case. It can get repetitive at times. I loveeee the leads too! I’m just wondering if it would be the same all throughout or will pick up soon. Thanks for your input!
nope . maintains the same pace, approach, story telling.. and if you have figured out the plot by now..atleast i did.. it just gets boring (story wise)
Same with me. I thought there was too much talking at the beginning. And the dark colors made it looking tiring…and maybe it was because I was in the holiday spirit, but I had to stop it and then picked it up again just before the new year. The last six episodes is where it’s at! So keep going. You won’t regret it! I still liked Circle and Lookout better. But the ending they do nail here, better than the others!
I loved the show, as a Show. The mystery was well written. But I thought it lacked emotional punch. I couldn’t really feel for or sympathise with any of the characters. It may be that lack of an emotional connect?
