Beanies! My curious mind suddenly asked a random question: How are the relationship of the siblings’ spouses called?

Say, for example Se-hee and Ji-seok’s wife. What’s their relation to each other?

Try this link – I’m not confidant enough to give you an answer from the list, lol!

      Omg what a list.

Uhhh, so, Ji-hyeok’s wife would be Se-hee’s “cheonamdaek”? Right? And Se-hee would be her “hyeongnim”? I know I’ve heard that for brother-in-laws in dramas before. But the list also has “doryeonnim” and “seobangnim” which I’ve also heard… or would one of those just be used by Ji-hyeok and not Ji-hyeok’s wife?

Omg I’m more confused now hahah.

      Thank you for the link!

I thought noona/dongsaeng/hyeong/sunbae hierarchy was complex, and then this list proved me wrong. From what I understood, how the four of them will call each other would go like:
      Se-hee to Ji-seok: cheonam
Ji-seok to Se-hee: hyeong, I think, because that’s how Ji-seok calls Se-hee in the drama (or hyeongnim)
      Se-hee to Ji-seok’s wife: cheonamdaek
      Ji-seok’s wife to Se-hee: ???
      Ji-ho to Ji-seok’s wife: jesu
      Ji-seok’s wife to Ji-ho: dongseo
      Ji-seok’s wife to Se-hee:

edit: please ignore the repeated last line hehe

I am watching ep12 of BTLIOF rn, and I should correct my above post:
        Ji-seok’s wife to Ji-ho: eonni
        Ji-seok’s wife to Se-hee: ajubeoni

OMO! I don’t even refer to my sister’s husband to my kids as their uncle, I refer to him as “Your Aunt’s husband”, lol! I could never do all this, seriously… I’ll settle for “Yo..”
