Maybe it was my fault because I had already decided in my head that things would progress smoothly from that point on. So when he pulled back and started walking away, my heart immediately shattered because of the thought that we would have to suffer through it all over again. While she called out to him immediately, it wasn’t enough time for me to pick my heart off the floor. The impact was lost. I haven’t been able to heal my aching heart because it takes a while.
To be fair, I shouldn’t have gotten ahead of the story. 😭
