Oh yay, you’re watching Just Between Lovers too?! I’ve been watching and actually just caught up to the latest ep like, yesterday, so now I’m waiting for the finale, I guess… huhuhu. I noticed it’s not being recapped on here (wae? It’s so good), but I love that Beanies are probably talking about it in other posts (like the other news articles for JBL, heh), so I’ll have to check all those out. I’m just afraid of spoilers…
I haven’t checked out SPL yet, but I had a feeling it’d be good. I’ll have to find time to watch it. There’s just so many dramas and I’m not able to keep up with ‘em anymore! Idk how I did it back then, practically watching all the airing shows at once. 😂🤷🏻♀️

We went on a cruise awhile back and didn’t have wifi, reception, or anything for the majority of the time (and I wasn’t gonna pay $$$ for wifi) and it wasn’t too bad since there was tons of things to do (and eat, omg, all the food 24/7), so it was nice to just ~live~
1.) LAWL, you did? I mean, I guess I did tell you how it was hard for me to get invested in that drama, right? Negl, it’s totally because I was never onboard w/ Bogummy x Yoo-jung. It’s weird, since she’s such a puppy and so is Bogummy, and when they’re together, it’s like, cuteness overload(!), but I just don’t ~feel~ anything between them and I guess that’s the reason why I keep dropping it… there’s no spark/chemistry from them (to me).
2.) Haha! I’d love to see you do that! And whenever I get to that drama, I’d like to see if they’ll shower me w/ luv when I post about it, too. Haha.

I’m fine without wifi. I’ve done it lots before. It’s more of an issue if I’m alone travelling and need it for contact, then I’ll buy it. But if I’m just camping, or travelling within NZ, or doing something like a youth camp, I can separate myself from it pretty well. Although I did keep thinking of kdramas all week hahaha, and gosh I need to be less addicted to Instagram story I tell ya haha.
And yes, it’s nicer to just live sometimes, even without a camera- I’m bad at taking pics of EVERYTHING, so sometimes I just don’t worry about taking pics and enjoy it.
1) You know what’s interesting, I think I enjoyed the main couple a lot more in the second half, maybe, it was more intense in some ways, and I definitely enjoyed the second lead so much more, after coming back after a year! so you never know! You might like it more!
2) Hahaha well ofc I want to finish it, so I’ll be sure to post about it when I do. At least for Kim Sung Joo hehe
BTLIOF- Well idk, I did really enjoy the ride, it even convinced me to take a weekend for myself and go to the see and draw on the sand for like two hours, but after the last two episodes, they kinda highlighted all the bits that didn’t work, and for me at least, in retrospect, it highlighted a lot of errors in storytelling and character development, that you just kind of forgot because of the pretty and the poetry, but by the end you realise, it didn’t actually achieve what it set out to do. That’s how I feel anyway.
3) Yeahhhhhhh girl haha.
And well, actually, I got to 10k without them, and they helped me get to 15k, but then the rest… well the rest wasn’t them. It was a combination of other popular shows, and also there was a point where I had no idea who or what was upvoting me because Muchie and I hit 20k in like no time and we have no idea how haha but we assume we have a wee fan club going or something 😛
And then Rainbow Unicorn, Muchie and Kaybee all helped me to get to 30k because I wanted 30k like and 10k comments and IT WORKED I FINALLY GOT THEM IN SYNC haha 😛

2.) I kinda zoned out whenever BTLIOF got poetic. Was just always there for the characters because they were all pretty darn likable and I cared about them and wanted to see them grow, which they all did in the end, so I’m good.

Hihi!! So, the whole notifs is still a bit whacked. I’ve noticed that IF someone mentions you and you don’t click on the notif to see that comment/post you were mentioned in, it disappears. And I haven’t disabled any of my notifs. I don’t get pages of likes like Sic and your DB friends. LOL.
Prison episodes are about an hour and half long, but so worth the watch. I did watch it in about half hour increments, though.
For some reason, I’m enjoying Hwayugi. Must be a LSG’s post army thing. He’s never really caught my eye until now. LOL. I can see where you say it’s kinda draggy. When that happens, I just put it on pause and do something else…like go on the beanie wall for inspiration.

Yep! So we’re all experiencing the same thing in regards to the Mention notifs, which, meh. I LOVE that that’s a thing because y’know, I appreciate being notified if someone mentions me so I can pop in and join the convo. So I hope that’s something that’ll stay and stick in the notifs.
I’d like for us to just be able to see the who likes our stuff directly on our posts, y’know? Like, I can disable the Likes notifs, but still see who likes my stuff if I click on the post directly.
I’ll have to see if Prison is one of those dramas I can watch w/o feeling the 1+ hrs and it’ll just breeze on by. Like, for me, Goblinnever felt 1+ hrs long. It was such a precious show to me that always moved too fast. Lawl.
I always loved Lee Seung-gi, but lawl, for some reason, I’m the opposite, and feel like post-army Lee Seung-gi is a tad haughty for me. Idk, he’s all buff now, so it’s like, he’s got all this confidence ON TOP OF his usual talent and skills, so it’s intimidating just seeing him on screen. It’s weird. I’m weird. Or maybe it’s his pompous character that’s rubbing me the wrong way. Gosh darn it, Lee Seung-gi, you’re such a good actor! Heh. Oh, and I’m also not really fond of Oh Yeon-seo, so there’s that. You should still get notifs for mentions even if you disabled the one for likes. As Jenmole said though, the ones for mentions do disappear sometimes. I thought this was because it was redundant. For example, I would get a notif that someone commented on my post and tagged me in that same post. Then, the notif for the tagging would disappear. I’m not sure if it still disappears if you are tagged in a post that is not a reply to your own post.
JBL seems like it is also really popular among beanies. In addition to the huge discussion under the JBL news article, azzo has been hosting episode discussions on her wall.
IANAR was really good. It was mostly light and fluffy but it was also very well acted and written. I loved it 🙂

Yep, so it wasn’t just me (and my sis) that noticed that the mentions only stays when you first click on the notifs, and they disappear when you actually go to your entire notifs page, which sucks. I definitely hope it’s something that’s in the works, too.
Yeah, I get the double notifs, too, which is helpful, but like you said, redundant, since it’s pretty much the same notif. Oh well, we’ll all figure it out as the site continues to grow.

What? See, my love for K-dramas isn’t something I’d bring up myself, but hey, I’d flash it around (using a water bottle) in hopes to spark up conversation and make new drama buddies all day errrday. And plus, I was just really thinking about having that be my go-to drinking utensil for when I watch K-dramas at home, anyways.
Ooh~ we should ask! I’d totally freak out if I saw someone sporting any DB merch. I’ve come across K-pop/drama fans when I had the merch on me and vice versa, so it’s definitely a conversation starter for me.
I used to listen to more K-pop, but now I’m more of a K-drama girl, forever and always. <3 Haha. My favorite group was SHINee and my bias was Onew. My heart dropped when I found out about Jonghyun… </3
I’ve listened to/still listen to pretty much anything and everything that sounds good to me. I loved/still love groups/musicians like CNBLUE, 2AM, 2NE1, T-Ara, Lim Kim, PHANTOM, and FTISLAND. I still listen to the older K-pop songs from the early 2000s. I also like: Bolbbalgan4, IU, Infinite, GOT7, BTS, CHEEZE, Girl’s Day, Suran, BTOB, KARD, MAMAMOO, and like, SO. MUCH. MORE. Because there’s just so much good music out there and ENDLESS talent from the K-pop industry, honestly.
Wow! That’s a lot of groups! I am a hardcore fan (know all member’s names and have bought at least one album) of GOT7, Day6, and The East Light (super talented). I also listen to BTOB, Seventeen, Super Junior, 2PM, Twice, BTS, and B1A4.
Haha, yeah. 😅 I was basically listing down all the groups I could think of… but I pretty much listen to whatever sounds good to me, really. I like Day6 too—they remind me of Royal Pirates. Gotta check out The East Light… I feel like I’ve heard of ‘em, but the name’s not ringing a bell… I pretty much listen to a little bit of every K-pop artist out there. I loved and watched all the K-pop Star seasons and was bummed to find out they were ending it. I started watching The Unit and MixNine, but ultimately dropped both of ’em, but I dropped the latter way sooner than the former.

Just Between Lovers is 💖 I decided to watch because Junho was so good in Chief Kim but it is so good in every way: writing, acting, photography, directing… I decided to watch I’m Not a Robot because it sounded interesting and fun but it also had me gripped for the whole run. ☔️

It’s such a sweet love story between two broken souls (but really, all the characters are all kinda broken) and how they find love with each other and slowly mend each other’s hearts. It’s so beautiful and I agree with everything you said about what makes it so good. The core of the story about how important it is to create a strong foundation for all these architectural works is also such an important subject that I hope more people take notice of.
I haven’t watched Chief Kim, but now I have another reason to check it out (Junho) other than the fact that Namgoong Min’s in it.

Yeah, I did haha! First I had to complete my studies (5 yrs at uni ugh, cuz I did Masters too). Then I had to complete my practicum (teaching at a school to gain experience). So I literally had no time for DB…let alone dramas. And just recently (like 4 wks ago) my cousins came over from America so I was mostly out showing them around Sydney. So yea, what did I say? *that’s real life for you*
And now I’m back on DB but I just don’t have the energy to post as much as before. I guess I’m enjoying my ‘lurking status’ more haha.

Aww, thank you! Yep, finished my masters end of last year. I started working at the school where I did my practicum. I’m a casual (substitute) teacher and I go in to teach when they need me.
Haha, it is difficult lol. We should write out our Beanie mates names on a diary or something along with where they live and what they like haha. So hard to remember everything. (I don’t have the best memory). And yep, I’m in Sydney, hehe.

I haven’t gone to other schools yet (we can) because I’m going to the school I did my practicum at. They wanted me for this whole week so it’s hard to go out and look for other schools. Makes sense that you’re teaching at the school you did your practicum at since you have experience there and I’m glad that they’re calling you in often. I agree, it’s definitely a good chance to gain experience before you branch out later on. As long as they’re treating you well at the current school, the school environment/system’s good, and you connect with the students, etc., then it’s good to stay and keep doing what you’re doing.
And omg, same! I barely have any time to watch dramas and DB! Adulting is hard. Huhuhu~

I thought (back when I did my first prac and had year 1) that I’d prefer to teach the younger kids (kindy-yr2). But my second prac made me experience a class full of kids in different grades (from 3-6). This was a reception class which was basically made up of students who speak limited English and students who are refugees. And now as a casual, I’ve been getting classes in the upper primary (3-6). So I think I prefer the older kids to the younger ones. I don’t mind yr 1 and 2 but I really do not wanna teach kindy kids (I probably can’t handle them lol!)
I have to teach ALL the subjects! (That’s English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, PDHPE (health and sports, nutrition etc.) and Creative Arts.
Yep, definitely. I wouldn’t work here if I didn’t like the environment. I’m like a reallllllllly shy person (I know, teacher, but shy…don’t ask) so I want to be in a staffroom that’s comfortable and welcoming. And so far it has been:)

I’ve been well! Got myself a part-time job towards the end of last year (it was a seasonal position, they called and asked if I was still interested, I was, I worked hard, they wanted to keep me on the team, and now I’ve been workin’ workin’ workin’. It was harder for me to find time to DB (especially because DB-ing requires a lot of my time, as you can tell by how long this comment is. I friggin’ write novels on here, Azzo. And I need time for my novels! 🤣🤦🏻♀️).
I’d lurk every now and then to check out the main posts, but when I got the urge to log back in to comment, I’d get interrupted and never find the time to go back. UNTIL NOW! *makes superhero noises*

Yep! I’m really only actively watching JBL rn, too and also hoping for a happy ending for our cutie couple. I have my own theories of what I think might happen to Gang-doo… w/o the show killing him off, I think they’re not gonna let him off the hook so easily, just because they’re really starting to dig deep into his injury. As long as he’s able to live, I’d be okay w/ what I think might happen. Btw, you’re all caught up w/ it, right? Just waiting on the last two eps?

Okay! so this got lost in my notifications and today while I was going through them to give follow-backs to beanies who follow me, I , by mistake, clicked on this notif and turns out you actually did reply (all this time I thought you didn’t, now I feel so bad and sorry for that, forgive me, would you please, hmm? *does her best aegyo*).
So, first, yes she was MIA and just couple of days before you, she came out of her hiding! All beanies are great but you know, us the old gen. know so much about each other already that it’s hard with new beanies, so please no one disappears!
You did? CONGRATS, that’s exciting, and to know your hard work paid off and they wanted to keep you on their team, that’s so great, you must’ve felt really proud, I mean I feel so proud! hehe! Oh, you remember the trip? It was crazy really, a lot of embarrassing things happened, things that we promised not to tell anyone and take with us to the grave, LOL! My sister, @mochime, watches INAR, and I checked out the first few eps ‘cause she told me to, but I’m really only actively watching JBL rn. Checked out the first ep of Hwayugi, but idk, not feelin’ it, so I’m holding it off for now. Waikiki looks super wacky and gives me Age of Youth vibes, mostly because of the guest house concept. Oh, and of course, the actor that plays Sung-min!

I am watching JBL but I didn’t watch last week’s eps as I heard that the preview was terrible and would have made the wait really hard! So I am gonna finish those eps today.. Even though there is no recap, the JBL fans gather at one of the JBL related news posts and last I saw the comment count was over the roof! 😛 Oh and @azzo1 posts JBL discussion threads which have some wonderful discussions- you should check them out.. Aw, thanks, you guys, for thinking of me and keeping me in your thoughts! 💕 And yes, it was totally because real life got busy! I DO like my new job. 😊 It was a seasonal cashier position that turned into a permanent part-time position. Now they’ve got me doing all sorts of stuff, but I don’t mind because I’m learning new skills and strengthening my existing skillz, y’know? It’s good.

I’d love to talk dramas with you! I’m not watching Pretty Noona, though! Pooey. I checked out the first ep, but haven’t picked it back up yet. Been only actively watching Come and Hug Me and a little bit of Secretary Kim. Kinda trying to ease back into the drama game again.
I’m watching WWWSK as well. Pretty Noona was really good for a hot second. I’d tell you to watch the first 8 ep and stop there! I do remember that! And now, I don’t remember exactly what dramas I was watching at the time where I heard all the Viet words. But Zero/khong was one. They use chung bi a lot. I think every drama has it somewhere! I think there’s a Highlight song where I picked it out too. And I’m sure they’re all Chinese words that both languages have kept. I saw the cliffhanger of CHAHM, a couple weeks ago, but I haven’t really kept up with it. Serial killers just aren’t my thing. I’ve avoided all dramas with them! Glad you’re back again! And FYI, several people have joined Rabb.it ti watch shows and listen to music together. It’s really fun if you want to join.

I’ve first noticed the Korean phrase for “get ready” sounded so similar to the Vietnamese “get ready” (chuẩn bị) from watching Running Man. They used that phrase a lot.
And yes about the Chinese origins because “tea” is pronounced the same way in Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean.
I was originally going to urge you to continue watching Hug Me, despite of the murderous theme, but now I get what you mean. I’m not scared of it, but I got tired of it. I just wanted the two lead puppies to be happy and romantic with each other, but that’s just so hard to ask for in a show like this, so I haven’t been watching, either.
Rabbit is on my To Do list, for sure! It sounds like a hoot.

Oh yay, you’re watching Just Between Lovers too?! I’ve been watching and actually just caught up to the latest ep like, yesterday, so now I’m waiting for the finale, I guess… huhuhu. I noticed it’s not being recapped on here (wae? It’s so good), but I love that Beanies are probably talking about it in other posts (like the other news articles for JBL, heh), so I’ll have to check all those out. I’m just afraid of spoilers…
I haven’t checked out SPL yet, but I had a feeling it’d be good. I’ll have to find time to watch it. There’s just so many dramas and I’m not able to keep up with ‘em anymore! Idk how I did it back then, practically watching all the airing shows at once. 😂🤷🏻♀️

Oh wow. That’s cool! Good job for being one with nature and all that good stuff. How’d you feel living w/o wifi?
We went on a cruise awhile back and didn’t have wifi, reception, or anything for the majority of the time (and I wasn’t gonna pay $$$ for wifi) and it wasn’t too bad since there was tons of things to do (and eat, omg, all the food 24/7), so it was nice to just ~live~
1.) LAWL, you did? I mean, I guess I did tell you how it was hard for me to get invested in that drama, right? Negl, it’s totally because I was never onboard w/ Bogummy x Yoo-jung. It’s weird, since she’s such a puppy and so is Bogummy, and when they’re together, it’s like, cuteness overload(!), but I just don’t ~feel~ anything between them and I guess that’s the reason why I keep dropping it… there’s no spark/chemistry from them (to me).
2.) Haha! I’d love to see you do that! And whenever I get to that drama, I’d like to see if they’ll shower me w/ luv when I post about it, too. Haha.
Oh? I’m sure you posted about the things you disliked about BTLIOF, right? I can’t recall specific things I might’ve disliked about it rn, but for the most part, I did enjoy watching it, too. I have some screenshots I wanna post about it, too!

I’m fine without wifi. I’ve done it lots before. It’s more of an issue if I’m alone travelling and need it for contact, then I’ll buy it. But if I’m just camping, or travelling within NZ, or doing something like a youth camp, I can separate myself from it pretty well. Although I did keep thinking of kdramas all week hahaha, and gosh I need to be less addicted to Instagram story I tell ya haha.
And yes, it’s nicer to just live sometimes, even without a camera- I’m bad at taking pics of EVERYTHING, so sometimes I just don’t worry about taking pics and enjoy it.
1) You know what’s interesting, I think I enjoyed the main couple a lot more in the second half, maybe, it was more intense in some ways, and I definitely enjoyed the second lead so much more, after coming back after a year! so you never know! You might like it more!

BTLIOF- Well idk, I did really enjoy the ride, it even convinced me to take a weekend for myself and go to the see and draw on the sand for like two hours, but after the last two episodes, they kinda highlighted all the bits that didn’t work, and for me at least, in retrospect, it highlighted a lot of errors in storytelling and character development, that you just kind of forgot because of the pretty and the poetry, but by the end you realise, it didn’t actually achieve what it set out to do. That’s how I feel anyway.
3) Yeahhhhhhh girl haha.
And well, actually, I got to 10k without them, and they helped me get to 15k, but then the rest… well the rest wasn’t them. It was a combination of other popular shows, and also there was a point where I had no idea who or what was upvoting me because Muchie and I hit 20k in like no time and we have no idea how haha but we assume we have a wee fan club going or something 😛
And then Rainbow Unicorn, Muchie and Kaybee all helped me to get to 30k because I wanted 30k like and 10k comments and IT WORKED I FINALLY GOT THEM IN SYNC haha 😛

Eh, we should set a new date since even though I’m okay with not finishing it, I’d still rather finish it and just check it off my list (or more like add it to my MY SHOWS, heh). Plus, you’ve got too much on me already, so I should finish it finally so at least you can’t tease me about this. Ha.
It’s funny, because I think I was like, idk, 8-10 eps away from the finale, the deadline was approaching fast, and eventually, it was like, the day before the deadline and I still had so much left to watch! I was just like, “Man, I’m not gonna finish…”

If I can survive w/o WiFi and my phone not having any reception, then I’m good, too. Like, when we were on the cruise/out at sea, I was fine w/o WiFi and signal because there was so much to do. But like, if I’m traveling, then heck yeah, I need my phone to be able to do everything it’s capable of doing ‘cause I have no sense of direction. Thank goodness for GPS.
I’ve been so far away from my personal social medias, I’m actially living just fine w/o it. But life w/o K-dramas? Cannot compute.
1.) I’m just not that into it, y’know? But when I’m watching it, I’m invested, but if I’m not, I’m not thinking about it. I’ll still finish it up, though. For you, and for Bogummy!
2.) I kinda zoned out whenever BTLIOF got poetic. Was just always there for the characters because they were all pretty darn likable and I cared about them and wanted to see them grow, which they all did in the end, so I’m good.

She recently finished filming a new (Lee Jun-Ik) movie with Park Jung-min, so I’m waiting for them to start releasing more info (release date, posters, teaser/trailers, etc.) on that and then we’ll get to see her out and about doing promos for it, so yay, but omg, drama comeback would make my year!

Hihi!! So, the whole notifs is still a bit whacked. I’ve noticed that IF someone mentions you and you don’t click on the notif to see that comment/post you were mentioned in, it disappears. And I haven’t disabled any of my notifs. I don’t get pages of likes like Sic and your DB friends. LOL.
Prison episodes are about an hour and half long, but so worth the watch. I did watch it in about half hour increments, though.
For some reason, I’m enjoying Hwayugi. Must be a LSG’s post army thing. He’s never really caught my eye until now. LOL. I can see where you say it’s kinda draggy. When that happens, I just put it on pause and do something else…like go on the beanie wall for inspiration.

Yep! So we’re all experiencing the same thing in regards to the Mention notifs, which, meh. I LOVE that that’s a thing because y’know, I appreciate being notified if someone mentions me so I can pop in and join the convo. So I hope that’s something that’ll stay and stick in the notifs.
I’d like for us to just be able to see the who likes our stuff directly on our posts, y’know? Like, I can disable the Likes notifs, but still see who likes my stuff if I click on the post directly.
I’ll have to see if Prison is one of those dramas I can watch w/o feeling the 1+ hrs and it’ll just breeze on by. Like, for me, Goblin never felt 1+ hrs long. It was such a precious show to me that always moved too fast. Lawl.
I always loved Lee Seung-gi, but lawl, for some reason, I’m the opposite, and feel like post-army Lee Seung-gi is a tad haughty for me. Idk, he’s all buff now, so it’s like, he’s got all this confidence ON TOP OF his usual talent and skills, so it’s intimidating just seeing him on screen. It’s weird. I’m weird. Or maybe it’s his pompous character that’s rubbing me the wrong way. Gosh darn it, Lee Seung-gi, you’re such a good actor! Heh. Oh, and I’m also not really fond of Oh Yeon-seo, so there’s that. I thought she was good in ep 1, though.

You should still get notifs for mentions even if you disabled the one for likes. As Jenmole said though, the ones for mentions do disappear sometimes. I thought this was because it was redundant. For example, I would get a notif that someone commented on my post and tagged me in that same post. Then, the notif for the tagging would disappear. I’m not sure if it still disappears if you are tagged in a post that is not a reply to your own post.
JBL seems like it is also really popular among beanies. In addition to the huge discussion under the JBL news article, azzo has been hosting episode discussions on her wall.
IANAR was really good. It was mostly light and fluffy but it was also very well acted and written. I loved it 🙂

Yep, so it wasn’t just me (and my sis) that noticed that the mentions only stays when you first click on the notifs, and they disappear when you actually go to your entire notifs page, which sucks. I definitely hope it’s something that’s in the works, too.
Yeah, I get the double notifs, too, which is helpful, but like you said, redundant, since it’s pretty much the same notif. Oh well, we’ll all figure it out as the site continues to grow.

I used to listen to more K-pop, but now I’m more of a K-drama girl, forever and always. <3 Haha. My favorite group was SHINee and my bias was Onew. My heart dropped when I found out about Jonghyun… </3
I’ve listened to/still listen to pretty much anything and everything that sounds good to me. I loved/still love groups/musicians like CNBLUE, 2AM, 2NE1, T-Ara, Lim Kim, PHANTOM, and FTISLAND. I still listen to the older K-pop songs from the early 2000s. I also like: Bolbbalgan4, IU, Infinite, GOT7, BTS, CHEEZE, Girl’s Day, Suran, BTOB, KARD, MAMAMOO, and like, SO. MUCH. MORE. Because there’s just so much good music out there and ENDLESS talent from the K-pop industry, honestly.

Gotta check out The East Light… I feel like I’ve heard of ‘em, but the name’s not ringing a bell… I pretty much listen to a little bit of every K-pop artist out there. I loved and watched all the K-pop Star seasons and was bummed to find out they were ending it. I started watching The Unit and MixNine, but ultimately dropped both of ’em, but I dropped the latter way sooner than the former.

It’s such a sweet love story between two broken souls (but really, all the characters are all kinda broken) and how they find love with each other and slowly mend each other’s hearts. It’s so beautiful and I agree with everything you said about what makes it so good. The core of the story about how important it is to create a strong foundation for all these architectural works is also such an important subject that I hope more people take notice of.
I haven’t watched Chief Kim, but now I have another reason to check it out (Junho) other than the fact that Namgoong Min’s in it.

I haven’t gone to other schools yet (we can) because I’m going to the school I did my practicum at. They wanted me for this whole week so it’s hard to go out and look for other schools. Cool! Do you have a grade you prefer to teach? And do you teach all subjects or just certain ones?
Makes sense that you’re teaching at the school you did your practicum at since you have experience there and I’m glad that they’re calling you in often. I agree, it’s definitely a good chance to gain experience before you branch out later on. As long as they’re treating you well at the current school, the school environment/system’s good, and you connect with the students, etc., then it’s good to stay and keep doing what you’re doing.
And omg, same! I barely have any time to watch dramas and DB! Adulting is hard. Huhuhu~

I thought (back when I did my first prac and had year 1) that I’d prefer to teach the younger kids (kindy-yr2). But my second prac made me experience a class full of kids in different grades (from 3-6). This was a reception class which was basically made up of students who speak limited English and students who are refugees. And now as a casual, I’ve been getting classes in the upper primary (3-6). So I think I prefer the older kids to the younger ones. I don’t mind yr 1 and 2 but I really do not wanna teach kindy kids (I probably can’t handle them lol!)
I have to teach ALL the subjects! (That’s English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, PDHPE (health and sports, nutrition etc.) and Creative Arts.
Yep, definitely. I wouldn’t work here if I didn’t like the environment. I’m like a reallllllllly shy person (I know, teacher, but shy…don’t ask) so I want to be in a staffroom that’s comfortable and welcoming. And so far it has been:)
Being an adult sucks man. I miss watching 7-8 dramas at once. Just started Waikiki yesterday and that’s the only drama I’m watching. *SO SAD*

Yah, it really has been a long time! I’ve missed you and everyone so so much, too! @ravennightstar was MIA, too? Well, I’m glad they’re back now, too! I was wondering if I’d come back to new Beanies and all my old Beanie pals would be as active, but I’m so so happy most of y’all are still here!
I’ve been well! Got myself a part-time job towards the end of last year (it was a seasonal position, they called and asked if I was still interested, I was, I worked hard, they wanted to keep me on the team, and now I’ve been workin’ workin’ workin’. It was harder for me to find time to DB (especially because DB-ing requires a lot of my time, as you can tell by how long this comment is. I friggin’ write novels on here, Azzo. And I need time for my novels! 🤣🤦🏻♀️).
I’d lurk every now and then to check out the main posts, but when I got the urge to log back in to comment, I’d get interrupted and never find the time to go back. UNTIL NOW! *makes superhero noises*

Yep! I’m really only actively watching JBL rn, too and also hoping for a happy ending for our cutie couple. I have my own theories of what I think might happen to Gang-doo… w/o the show killing him off, I think they’re not gonna let him off the hook so easily, just because they’re really starting to dig deep into his injury. As long as he’s able to live, I’d be okay w/ what I think might happen. Btw, you’re all caught up w/ it, right? Just waiting on the last two eps?

Okay! so this got lost in my notifications and today while I was going through them to give follow-backs to beanies who follow me, I , by mistake, clicked on this notif and turns out you actually did reply (all this time I thought you didn’t, now I feel so bad and sorry for that, forgive me, would you please, hmm? *does her best aegyo*).
So, first, yes she was MIA and just couple of days before you, she came out of her hiding! All beanies are great but you know, us the old gen. know so much about each other already that it’s hard with new beanies, so please no one disappears!
You did? CONGRATS, that’s exciting, and to know your hard work paid off and they wanted to keep you on their team, that’s so great, you must’ve felt really proud, I mean I feel so proud! hehe! Of course, I could! Beanies are going around demanding a season 2 of Oppa Wars, and they don’t want it to be with any other beanie and her Oppa, they’re demanding for me to make a comeback but no, thank you!
And JBL ended so did my life, okay, not literally since I’m still here but you know what I mean! I can’t watch any new dramas, I’m stuck listening to the OSTs and re-watching the episodes over and over again!
Oh, you remember the trip? It was crazy really, a lot of embarrassing things happened, things that we promised not to tell anyone and take with us to the grave, LOL! Seriously, we laughed so much, it was a lot of fun and I found the perfect place for where I want to hold my wedding, with Oppa, of course!

Hehe, YES! I’m finally back! I’m home again! *runs to hug you* I’ve been well! Wish I had a super cool reason why I went MIA (ex: I won the Seoul Mate contest and was whisked away to South K to live with famoose K-celebs, haha), but I’ve just been busy w/ my new job (!) and been real lazy… which, I’ve always been, but yeah, gosh, I’ve missed you and everyone so much! It really HAS been so long! Idk how I survived w/o DB for so long, but I’m glad I’m back! My sister, @mochime, watches INAR, and I checked out the first few eps ‘cause she told me to, but I’m really only actively watching JBL rn. Checked out the first ep of Hwayugi, but idk, not feelin’ it, so I’m holding it off for now. Waikiki looks super wacky and gives me Age of Youth vibes, mostly because of the guest house concept. Oh, and of course, the actor that plays Sung-min!

I am watching JBL but I didn’t watch last week’s eps as I heard that the preview was terrible and would have made the wait really hard! So I am gonna finish those eps today.. Even though there is no recap, the JBL fans gather at one of the JBL related news posts and last I saw the comment count was over the roof! 😛 Oh and @azzo1 posts JBL discussion threads which have some wonderful discussions- you should check them out.. I am usually late for any sorta discussions but the show is brilliant!

Aw, thanks, you guys, for thinking of me and keeping me in your thoughts! 💕 And yes, it was totally because real life got busy! I DO like my new job. 😊 It was a seasonal cashier position that turned into a permanent part-time position. Now they’ve got me doing all sorts of stuff, but I don’t mind because I’m learning new skills and strengthening my existing skillz, y’know? It’s good.
I JUST finished JBL today! Now I just gotta find the time to post/talk about it!

Aw, this is so sweet, Ally! Do you remember what dramas you saw the Viet words in? Haha, I remember seeing a bunch in Because It’s My First Life in that scene where the girls met up in a Vietnamese restaurant. It was so cool–I even took a screenshot!

I’m watching WWWSK as well. Pretty Noona was really good for a hot second. I’d tell you to watch the first 8 ep and stop there! I do remember that! And now, I don’t remember exactly what dramas I was watching at the time where I heard all the Viet words. But Zero/khong was one. They use chung bi a lot. I think every drama has it somewhere! I think there’s a Highlight song where I picked it out too. And I’m sure they’re all Chinese words that both languages have kept. I saw the cliffhanger of CHAHM, a couple weeks ago, but I haven’t really kept up with it. Serial killers just aren’t my thing. I’ve avoided all dramas with them! Glad you’re back again! And FYI, several people have joined Rabb.it ti watch shows and listen to music together. It’s really fun if you want to join.

Aww, I don’t remember when we talked about Vietnamese words, but wow, that’s really good!
I’ve first noticed the Korean phrase for “get ready” sounded so similar to the Vietnamese “get ready” (chuẩn bị) from watching Running Man. They used that phrase a lot.
And yes about the Chinese origins because “tea” is pronounced the same way in Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean.
I was originally going to urge you to continue watching Hug Me, despite of the murderous theme, but now I get what you mean. I’m not scared of it, but I got tired of it. I just wanted the two lead puppies to be happy and romantic with each other, but that’s just so hard to ask for in a show like this, so I haven’t been watching, either.
Rabbit is on my To Do list, for sure! It sounds like a hoot.
