Kahogo no Kahoko is such a beautiful drama and I’m so glad that I decided to start watching this. It’s been an unexpectedly emotional journey but also a wonderful one. Being able to watch our naive female lead grow and become such an inspiring person has been so rewarding.
It’s been a while since I’ve recommended a JDrama but if you haven’t already, please watch this.
I suddenly wanted to watch JDramas again and went on a binge with a few but this was the only one I managed not to skip through. It’s just about a girl who’s been overprotected by her mother all her life and one day she meets this guy who makes her rethink about the way she lives and in the process she learns to be more independent and finds purpose with her existence I guess.
I started watching this because of your post and 2 episodes in I just wanna say thank you! Usually I find naive heroines annoying but in this case she’s adorable and growing and I’m cheering for her every episode
OMG I’m so glad you’re enjoying it. That’s exactly how I felt. I don’t know whether it was because of the actress but the heroine is just lovable. She doesn’t come across as dumb which if acted badly, could have easily swayed in that direction. She reminded me of It Started With A Kiss’ (I loved that drama) female character but thank god, not annoying. Tell me how your thoughts when you finish. Without spoiler, the last few episodes really hit the heart strings.
