Radio Romance ep 5. It’s been really bugging me. Why was it so difficult for Soo Ho to regain his composure & play off the mistake he made on air. There were so many things he could have done!
I mean, sure, it’s one of those things that you’ll only understand once you’re in the situation, but come on! He’s an experienced idol for Pete’s sake. And Geu Rim couldn’t have given better advice!? Argh!!! That scene was just too stupid.
But he never does anything off script, so ad libbing, and the surprise of being live on air was a bit more than he was prepared to deal with. I’m not saying the scene wasn’t overly contrived, because it was. But from the character’s standpoint, along with the lack of support from the others (you’re right Geu Rim’s advice was lame), it kind of made sense to me.
I think this might have to do with the trauma he experienced when he was younger. For some reason I feel like it is tied to his friend dying and to why he doesn’t carry a phone around. It really looked like he might pass out from being caught off guard so that is why I think it is more tied to some traumatic event. But maybe the writer just wants it to be tied to the perfection aspect and I’m just reading too much into it.

Makes sense. But such a stupidly contrived plot device.
