Negatives
– The first thing to jump out at you might be just how bad the English dub is. Sure, many C— – Dramas are dubbed back into Chinese/Mandarin. I get that. However, watching many of these characters speak English, the dub feels disjointed and cheesy.
Using White actors in cliche roles.
– I would commend them on trying to rep New York diversity with the inclusion of Black actors. Unfortunately, the positions they use these actors in does not illicit much commendation. They’re maids, security, and extras. It would have come off as less offensive/noticeable if they included them in the hospital staff—doctors and nurses. Heck, to be honest, NY is way more diverse than just Blacks and Whites.
– Tong Wei–the female lead–ends up on what I assume to be the executive wing of the hospital which has a totally unmanned department desk/counter. The leads had to meet each other somehow, right?
– The storyline thus far is really cliche.
Positives
+ On the plus side, the fight scene was actually quite enjoyable.
+ Tao’s acting could be worse.
+ The cinematography is not bad.
Unfortunately…for me that is, I tried Love O20 and couldn’t get into it. I also watched ep 1 of A Love So Beautiful. I think I should give it another shot.
I think it’s a matter of preference. I find J-dramas the hardest to get into mainly because many of them are based off of mangas and many of the actors act in very unrealistic outlandish annoying ways. I’m getting a bit used to it though after trying over and over and over and over again. I don’t know if that’s a good thing though.
Hahaha…I have a similar problem. There are some shows and actors who I am adamant to get into and I’d actually go to great lengths trying. I don’t know why I do it.
I have the same problem with J-dramas as you. I enjoy J movies though, the few which I watched were so good.
I don’t think my problem with C dramas is the same. It’s more of the story or maybe the pace. Although the episodes are shorter, the drama length is longer than say Kdramas. Funny thing is I didn’t feel it with Nirvana In Fire or Ten Miles Peach Blossom.
Anyway, I’ll definitely try A Love So Beautiful again. It’s the Lunar New Year, time for bingeing on food and dramas!

Negotiator (C-Drama) Ep. 1 Review. In one word, terribad–it’s one of those it’s so bad it could be watchable in a not taking it seriously kind of way.

I am looking for C dramas to watch, any recommendation?
I’ve not been very successful with modern dramas as in I’ve tried a couple which were raved by most but somehow I can’t get into.

Love O2O and A Love So Beautiful are the only ones I can recommend with ease.
