Ok. So the number of dramas being recapped has decreased significantly recently. Even if the majority of dramas are being recapped, there will be a few that will not be–given limited resources etc. Why don’t the beanie gods add a section to each drama main page titled episodes or something to that effect where they list all the episodes as they would for a recap and the beanies lead those as they have been for other dramas like Just Between Lovers. We don’t have to do own recaps or anything. We just discuss as we have, but by episode. That way things should be a bit more organized especially if someone wants to go back and discuss something after the drama has finished airing. It would also be helpful to have a master tab where recaps, new, extras etc. are entitled dramas which takes you to a master list of all dramas-even the ones that aren’t being recapped.

Another option I would love is for them to add non K-Drama related dramas. They don’t have to start recapping them, but have a place for beanies to discuss non K-Dramas by drama. That would be awesome. But then again, we have the Open Thread, Soompi etc. Anyways, just a thought given fellow beanie frustration/desires regarding these matters.

    That sounds a great idea.
    I think it’ll be useful/helpful. 👍👍

DB used to give us a discussion page for dramas that were not being recapped.
If we ask I think JB or GF might do it again.

I’d love a “Mother” thread. There is so much to talk about and questions to ask.

      Aren’t they recapping Mother? I thought I saw a recap for it…

I noticed that they’ve been posting the videos of other dramas, including the weekend family dramas under the VIDEOS tab. I think that’s a good place to start a discussion beanie. I would see DB staff Mary giving a comment every now and then over there… However, as of now, they would post 2-3 videos only per series per week…

As far as I’m aware, the videos section mostly has dramas that are covered in some way on the site by the DB editors/crew. It’s also quite limited at the moment. It’s a good suggestion but it’s similar to beanies who post on the beanie wall, just fewer and less frequently.

Love this idea. It reminds me of the site PreviouslyTV. They basically do exactly what you said but with Western shows and mostly US shows. If the show is really popular, like Game of Thrones, then they break it up by seasons and by episode. Forums: http://forums.previously.tv/

It would be really cool if Dramabeans could do something like that. But it would probably be so time consuming and costly to operate a forum that is so robust.

Here is their master list of shows: http://previously.tv/shows/ It is crazy how many shows are on tv.

I don’t run a website, but I doubt it would be that time consuming and costly. It’s pretty much setting up segmented episode threads when they create the individual drama home pages–kind of like an Open Thread per episode minus spoilers. The rest is done by beanies. A significant portion of this website is driven by beanie generated content–the responses/comments to recaps and main section posts, and the beanie wall which is pretty much all beanie generated. Granted, there is maintenance, moderation, etc that the DB crew have to keep on top of.

Noticed that very few recaps are going up too! I’d hoped some dramas would be recapped but it’s a great idea to have a place for us to discuss non-recapped dramas.

Side note: how did you manage to type so much? I can’t get past the word count. ):

Forgot to respond to this. Type what you want to say in a word document or something similar, copy it, and paste in the discussion/post box instead of typing it out there. When you paste, don’t use a shortcut, it wouldn’t work if you do. Right-click and paste that way. I try to avoid doing this, but sometimes as in cases such as these, I need to.
