    Oh, I love Ikuta Toma! What is this? Is it… creepy? Lol. I normally can’t exactly support teacher-student relationships…

      Hey! Um, not creepy at all hehe. I’m not usually a fan of this type of relationship either, I mean haven’t watched anything like this before, but maybe because it was Toma Ikuta, [and this particular role too], I kind of realized why the girl fell for him? They both sort of connected, but it looks better when the story comes to full circle on its own hehe. I’m reading the manga currently so that explains more about the girl’s pov. 🙂 Oh, btw in the manga the girl is 18 yrs old and the sensei is 26. If that helps. :/

        Watched the movie last night and I liked how it explored/handled the taboo topic in a quiet?/subtle way. Girl is not clingey & loud and no creepy stares from Teacher Ito. Their relationship is still wrong though lol, but her being a minor is my main issue rather than their unethical teacher-student relationship. It would have been less creepy (but still creepy 😆) if she’s at least 18 years old.

          Hahaha, I know. But isn’t she 18 yrs old in the movie? Notice that the real story starts after one year, so she mentions she’s 17 in the voiceover, so I gather she’s 18 when the story starts.
          Btw can you answer this for me, what actually is creepy about a teacher-student relationship? I also think it’s kind of inappropriate when the girl is a minor, but if she isn’t, then why is it considered a taboo? Haha although I never fall for any of my teachers in school, it happened in the uni, but then I was sane and knew that it was more of an admiration than a crush. 😀

            Oh, I didn’t notice that, I thought she’s 17. Personally, I wouldn’t call a teacher-student relationship creepy because I grew up knowing it’s okay & our religion allows it (even when one party is of minor age as long as there’s consent from the parents) but I live in a country where such relationships are strictly probihited. I think it’s okay as long as people involved are adults and feelings are reciprocated, but if it’s one sided then that’s another story. 😀

            Ah makes sense! In my religion also there isn’t any such taboo imposed on these type of relationships, but I can see where it can go wrong. Like you said, if it’s one-sided lol, or if the girl is too young or naive to restrain her emotion when there are tough times in the relationship.

          I really really loved it too. It’s more the actors who totally delivered the whole scenario, and less the story I think. But the story has its charms too.
          I’m reading the manga and wishing at the same time if only this was a proper book instead of a manga. I’m not good with images lol.
