You guys @manohira @mary! OMG. Our Jak Doo was in a boyband before he became an actor! He was too cool for singing so he rapped instead. Yes. Rapped.

Our Jak-doo can literally do everything well.

    LOL 😂😂😂
OMO OMO, I lost words… This clip is the most hilarious thing I encountered this week 😂😂

Why do you do this to me @cherryinbloom? I don’t like him, jinjaa I just like Oh Jak Doo
But, after watching him rapping I have new respect for him

I have new feelings for him. But respect isn’t one of them. XD

(He’s still adorable though. Never change, Jak-doo!)

If he didn’t start as idol, maybe I’d never see Chae do woo (villain that I hate the most) and Oh Jak Doo (my favorite husband of dramaland).
Now I sound like a fan, pfft..

The whole clip is just pure gold. How old is this? Did boybands really dance this way? 😂

@mary Manohira here watched almost all of KKW dramas and yet she still resists his charms. I made it my mission to get her like him by the end of My Husband Oh Jak Doo 😄

Maybe she’s past “liking” him and just considers him an essential part of her drama-watching experience. One does not love breathing. They just do it.

Those are typical moves for the boybands back then, but it’s hilarious because they’ve slowed it down to match the music, so it’s essentially slow-mo dancing

Those flopping arm moves should really make a comeback.

This reminds me of Backstreet Boys.

            @egads,
They’ve got to flap faster if they ever intend to achieve liftoff!

And for heaven’s sake, take off those invisible straitjackets. They inhibit the range of motion for sending semaphore signals. ๐Ÿ˜‰

@allphryne, I was reminded of Backstreet Boys, too. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh manโ€”I wish I’d seen your post first before I posted the same clip this afternoon. The dislocated arm dance is killing me.

I canโ€™t believe how much idol bands changed in 15-20 years. Itโ€™s really hard not to laugh out loud watching this clip 😂

Cool! Jo Hyun-jae was in Guardian, too. (Please come back to Kdramaland, MyongNong Seja!)

Thanks to fellow Beanies, your comments had me in stitches. The flailing reminded me of my less-successful attempts at snake arms in belly dancing class. Har! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And then I remembered Steve Martin’s commemoration of the King Tut Exhibit in NYC (which I got to see) 20 years before Guardian released their first album:

The Bangles released this more kinetic number in 1986:

Nice violin (or is it synthesizer?) in the song.
