I’ll just have to imagine that apple is Mom or Seung Tae’s skull.

That’s what I am afraid of. That Jak Doo being being the nice guy will bail out mom and brother for Seung Joo’s sake. Please please…don’t!!! These leeches will suck you dry till you die!

The brother needs to go to jail, honestly speaking. He’s a con man, and needs to realize that. I hope Jak Doo will let them face the consequences of their actions, even if he decides to try to keep a relationship for Seung Joo with them ~

He needs to go to jail for stealing from his sister but he’s not a con man, imo. He just doesn’t have any business sense. He really believes that his business ideas will work. Con men make things work just long enough to make a bunch of money and get out. He is really trying to be a business mogul but with no business acumen.

He doesn’t just have no business acumen, he has no shame or sense of reality. Mom’s to be blamed but Seung Tae is also a grown man, not a 3 year old. It’s likely a mix of both. Mom indulges Seung Tae and he allows it. Even though he appears to have some brotherly love for Seung Joo, he really loves no one but himself.

I meant that he’s a con man in that he is committing fraud, getting all these investors to give money to a business that is built on land he stole. He thinks he’s being a business man, but he needs to realize what he’s doing is fraud, and can be considered a con, so that he can change his ways.

I often wonder what kind of wack-a doo laws they have over there where you can use someone else’s seal without them present and can sue someone for an inheritance that wasn’t left to you. But then I remember, suspension of belief. Because how else would that mother find someone to say she has a right to land that her sister left her daughter? I mean people here try to do that often but they hardly ever win. All that son worship in cultures really needs to stop. Why should Seung Joo give her inheritance to her brother for ANY reason? You know what let me not go that rabbit hole of questions, it’s too early for a headache. I hate her mother, her brother is just an immature spoiled brat that needs to take responsibility for his actions. A little time in jail would do him some good.

Tell me about son worship! If dramas represent the cultural behavior of society, then Korea comes off badly in this aspect versus neighboring countries. I’ve watched C, TW, HK and a couple of J dramas, son worship seems to be the most prevalent in K dramas.
