Ah, the Mystery Queen 2 finale… *sad trombone* The entire season was lackluster, but the end was a particular letdown. If there is a season 3, count me out, sorry!
Well, *spoiler*… It ends basically the same as season one did, no real resolution on the big issues that got this season rolling. And the final tangental cases they work on solving are poorly plotted out, either a fault of writing, editing, or both. Instead of the season ending and a feeling that progress was made but there is something more for the duo to do, it felt like the show just happened to stop there, and they were hinting at a season three.
Thanks for letting me know before I suffer those last eps! I ought to watch to get closure, but judging from what you said, there is no closure anyway so… *sigh
Yeah, it felt like someone told them that the show might be considered for season 3, so they picked things that would be left open-ended (nearly the same things as season 1) and let the show end. But the writing and editing were insanely sloppy, it made me stop caring about the characters that were the entire reason I was watching the show.
Maybe they are planning something like Rude Ms. Young-ae..?
I enjoyed second season mysteries because I let go of the expectation of good cases, e.g.: the woman whose husband went missing doesn’t want to move even an inch from the house, like duh, even the most beginner of mystery reader would’ve seen something in that… But I just went with the flow coz I kinda dig Detective Gye ^^

Yikes, I haven’t watched the final eps and now feels justified for postponing. Is it really that bad..?

I think the possible season 3 is the reason it was so rushed and weird.
