I feel you. I try not to ship characters especially from ocn dramas (I’ve had my fair share of it mostly not sailing) but their interactions are too good not to ship ♥️
He does have a ex-girlfriend as his motivation to return to 2018 though haha … although I must say that YNY exists somewhere in 2018 (unless she is killed in 1988!) so it’s not like the ship will sink if he leaves 1988, just maybe not romantically linked together.
I don’t think the drama will need to include a romance sub-plot, the mystery behind the time-travel + questions of existentialism is enough drama. They can go there but it’ll detract from the fast pace of the drama which isn’t really good.

After my seemingly impossible ship in Tunnel sailed quite smoothly, I’m just going to happily ship these 2 sweet people.
