My doctor actually told me not to go outside at all if I could help it. Nowhere without air conditioning and water. (I’m third trimester pregnant and asthmatic, both of which this weather could cause huge issues with.)
I told her I had no plans to leave my house.
That’s excellent. Having a doctor’s approval to stay in is the best excuse. I do not envy you right now, but congrats on the baby!
I’ve also remembered I need to go look for summer blazers for work and I died a little inside. The only reason this is urgent is because I have an interview this week and all my super professional clothes are more fall/winter/spring appropriate. I’ve been managing at work, but only because I have a ridiculous number of shirtdresses that are perfect for hot days. Sadly, they are not interview appropriate, and the one I love best on me is bright red, so also not great. (I work in a very conservative profession, so I interview in muted colors then bust out the bright lipstick and clothing when I’ve been hired…)
Thanks! Yeah, this is my first interview in a while, so I’m probably going to spend a bit more time than usual prepping. It’s also in the practice area I’m most interested in, so I’d love to get it. But even if I don’t get it, at least I’ve finally started the job search in earnest so just getting an interview is awesome and makes me feel like I can do this. I don’t love my current job and I know I’m worth so much more — but I need the (terrible) income and the (excellent) benefits. I really hate adulting sometimes.

It’s stupid hot here.
…Which is the perfect excuse I’ll be using to stay in and binge drama this weekend.

Leaving my apartment exactly once in the next 48 hours, and that will be to get a crepe at the farmer’s market.

I’m starting to rethink growing my hair out to a bob. Missing my pixie so much right now.

Good luck! On both the clothing search and the interview 🙂 Both can be so nerve-wracking.
