It’s a slight twist on the first love genre — she keeps hallucinating him as his high school self after an accident, and then his present self starts to actually reappear in her life. She is seeing someone else but there are definitely unresolved things between her and the Ex.
The part I’m most fascinated by is that it doesn’t feel like they will necessarily end up together — they’ve both grown and changed so much. But the presence of the other is clearly pulling those past issues to the surface. It’s not one of those things where he can predict her every move or she is constantly reminded of him — but they also haven’t fully let go of the past. I find that Rainie always picks thought provoking dramas and this is no different. I will warn, the story is a bit slow (I’m only on ep 5 and things are just starting to move along). I also like both second leads and the side characters.
I haven’t watched that one yet — saving it for a rainy (no pun intended) day. I can’t think of a single performance of her’s which I haven’t loved; even if the drama got annoying, she was great. (This mostly applies to ToGetHer.)
I’m slowly working my way though the released episodes, on 5 now. So far I like it, but I also strongly suspect it’s not for everyone. The story is slow, but it also feels very thoughtful. The first love doesn’t feel fantastical or overdramatic, but these characters also act like adults in the present and there’s no stupid pining or melodrama. There is of course some tragedy, but it’s not between the lovers, which I think is really interesting.
I see i see, that does sound like the kind of project Rainie would pick at this stage. My taste is quite mainstream though, so there’s definitely a chance that its not my cup of tea. Hehe

Is anyone else watching the Taiwanese drama The Ex-man? I kind of want to discuss it but haven’t seen anyone else mention it.
(Also, Rainie’s faces in it are giving me life.)

i would watch anything with rainie yang in it, though i really loved her last short drama
