I wanted to pick up a Taiwanese drama again, and this time it’s My Dear Boy. I’m at the episode 16, and I have to say I love it. I feel for the characters, I like the story, and Derek Chang is on his way to become my new favorite 😍
I’m anxious, because TW dramas tend to screw up on the last stretch quite often, but for now it was an even and steady ride. It was a consistently good and satisfying watch and I really hope the last few episodes will remain the same way.
Well basically it’s a noona romance. We have a woman who’s heartbroken, and a young man who’s unsure about his future and also in unrequited love. Those two meet and become friends. We see how it progresses and how they become an influence in each other’s life. It’s a really slow burner, and the plot is not very high stakes, but the story is character driven and the characters are great.
