Toki was relaxing on her new rooftop and moping about Coco’s arrest. She felt guilty for enjoying her retirement while her Errand Girl friends were struggling. Suddenly Secretary Ma came running: “EBI has been raided again! Shadow asks for your help.” He grabbed Toki’s wrist and pulled her out of her hammock before she could say “no, thank you”.

Toki brushed him off. “Wait a minute. I need to speak to Coco before I go anywhere.” She marched over to the prison. But Coco refused to see her. Toki cried that she felt confused and betrayed. They had known each other since college! They had watched Jane Austen films together! Was it all a lie?

Back in her cell, where she was writing stories for her cellmates, Coco heard Toki crying. Still, she refused to make an appearance.

“You know it’s useless!” Secretary Ma had to drag Toki out of the prison.

They relocated to The Coffee Bean® to talk it over. Toki made a decision: “I’m sure she’s hiding something… I’ll do whatever it takes to free my friend. Take me to Shadow.”

Secretary pulled out flight tickets. “Shadow got an anonymous tip-off that Prosecutor Lee is somehow behind all this. He’ll be at the final. Shadow and Kitty are already on their way. Are you coming?”

Only Egads Ahjumma knew that they were going after Prosecutor Lee. She called to say goodbye and nagged them about their diet.

Cloggie meanwhile was trailing Suited Minion, who was acting strangely. He kept lurking around EBI and seemed to be searching for something.

Cloggie decided to face him. “MINION!”, she yelled. He turned around. “I don’t think we’ve met. It’s not Minion. The name is Min-Young. Lee Min-Young. It’s a girl’s name, which causes some confusion.”

He continued: “You’re Coco’s friend, right? I’m doing this for her… and for Hyung… Prosecutor Lee is my brother who was kidnapped when we were kids and lost his memories. He has issues…”

“So, pretend you’ve never seen me. I don’t want to hurt any of you. Greda, I’m sorry!” Cloggie suddenly wished she was a robot, or that she was at home with her pet rat.

It was the day of the final between France and Croatia. The stadium was full. Toki sang “La Marsellaise” along with the French, and she screamed a lot during the first half of the match. Secretary Ma just took selfies.

Prosecutor Lee arrived at the VVIP section towards half-time and was immediately hounded by reporters.

He didn’t realise that Shadow and Kitty were behind him, in a disguise which hid the worldwide handsomeness.

“Toki, we need to find a way to listen in on Prosecutor Lee’s interview.” Ma Jo Gu nudged Toki, who was too distracted at seeing French player Griezmann up close.

They headed to a restricted area, and Secretary tried to use his aegyo to get in.

It didn’t work, of course. Toki did all the dirty work…

While Secretary did the talking.

Just then EXO’s “Power” started to play in the stadium. Toki had to stop to fangirl for a bit.

In the conference room, Prosecutor Lee was praising the new levels of fair play brought to the World Cup by the video referees. Flattered by the attention, Prosecutor Lee didn’t notice that Shadow had quietly swiped his phone…. He casually mentioned that he was using a watch prediction app that allowed Sports Beanies to bet in an easier way.

Kitty, being a hacker geeenius, easily hacked into the phone. She found a folder labelled “Project M” – it contained personal data of Sports Beanies, including their names, avatars and emotional reactions to each game.
Shadow whispered: “This looks bigger than we thought. We should go now.” They started to move towards the door, when suddenly someone flipped the phone out of Kitty’s hand.

“Hello, I thought you would show up.” It was smarmy Prosecutor Lee. “You have no idea what to do with this information, do you?”

Shadow and Kitty made a run for it, without being able to call Toki and warm them to get out.

Toki and Secretary heard footsteps approaching. Otoke?

Toki told Secretary to stall while she finished recording Prosecutor Lee’s interview. Secretary dramatically grabbed the microphone: “Mum, Dad. I love you. To everyone who’s out there listening, love yourself.” The stadium echoed with the words “Love Yourself”.

A bunch of security guards burst into the room. Secretary turned around and knelt before Toki, microphone in hand:


The crowds cheered, and BTS “Fake Love” started to play.

Epilogue: Back in Korea, Lawyer GF turned on the TV. “I don’t like football, but I like kpop”… she explained to a still amnesiac Neener. UB was cooking ramyun for dinner.

Wonderful story as usual, although on paper this is ep 12, there is enough content to stretch this to 54 eps with filler eps & commercials.
