I’m more angry with Shancai than Ah-si. I’m so angry with her at the end of episode 20 that at this point I don’t even care whether she ends up with Ah-si, Lei or any random man in Shanghai.
I just don’t know why she can’t admit her feelings to him yet when it’s clear to the both of them (and all their friends and really, the whole world) that they like each other. It just doesn’t make sense why she would make him go through all that unnecessary pain, regardless of whether he and that other girl is a good match or not. Le sigh. I guess they want to hamper on the point that distance (or in this case, the presence of competition) really makes the heart grow fonder.
Shancai is always nice to everyone, except Ah-si. Her attitude is not cute or endearing. So far I only found people who watch 2018 MG are the one who has watched the previous version, 2001 Meteor Garden and/or BoF. Good, young audiences don’t need this nonsense!
I really hope in this version Ah-si is really dating this monkey girl. He needs to tone down his obsession with Shancai.
I liked how the cookies changed colors in one scene from another. LOL Darn inconsistencies. But seriously, after episode 20, I ask myself #whyamiwatchingthis.
