Man do I get my elders now. All those ‘back in my day’ rants aren’t complaints about how much easier kids have it, but about how bloody entitled and ungrateful some of them are about it.
More like an angry minute, lol. It just drives me nuts when I see kids who don’t have the slightest bit of respect for their parents, let alone other hard-working adults. Like, the type of spoilt-rotten teenagers you just wanna send to the country for a month so they’ll realise unpaid hard work is a thing and nobody in the world is actually obligated to treat you like royalty.
…Or, to put my sensitivity on the issue under the spotlight, I’m someone who grew up loving my parents to bits, and it hurts my soul when I see kids break their parents hearts over nothing.
