Pandan Kaya(custard) Cake
I’ve been wanting to make this cake. Not too difficult, just needs a bit more time because of the custard layers. Pandan or screwpine is a popular plant whose leaves are commonly used in Asian cooking. I love the aroma and taste. This cake has no artificial flavoring or colors.
Omg the cakes looks delicious! I love anything made of pandan – here almost all the traditional kueh/cakes and dishes are made of pandan essence/pandan leaves.
And your caek is making me drooling so i must get out of this little hide of mine for away, leaving my unfinished bingewatching on this lovely saturday afternoon to find a pandan cake.
They don’t smell good to cockroaches though. Some cabbies use a whole branch of pandan leaves to ward off the pest. Maybe it’s like citronella to them.

Try it in your home if you like the smell.
