For me the deception went on too long. I know people really disliked what the heroine did in Because This Life is My First, but I was starting to feel that way with this group.
The writer made it seem like the only viable solution but I think the lie lasted too long. This was a lot of pain caused by the people you trust.
But I still liked the show and the main couple. Definitely had wonderful side characters.
The deception went for too long, and then… the forgiveness part happened too fast. Healing and forgiveness take a lifetime, not 2 days.
But I am not complaining. I couldn’t bear one more day of watching Min Kyu’s agony.
Btw, the deception went for too long because everyone followed the useless doctor’s advise. Many doctors speak with such authority of things they are so clueless. But Koreans obey authority figures. For most of them: “Doctors must know best.” So they blindly obey.
We should learn to question and do our own research. Especially since it affects our health and that of our loved ones.
