Ode to a Drama Slump
Where have all the good shows gone? And where are all the ones That make you tune in week to week And mourn when they’re all gone
Isn’t there a cult gem waiting to exceed? Late at night I toss and I turn And I dream of what I need
I need a (kdrama) hero I’m holding out for a (kdrama) hero ’til the end of the night
It’s gotta be smart And it’s gotta be fresh And it’s gotta be more than alright
I need a (kdrama) hero!
Not sharing your slump (I’m watching waaaaaay too many right now) but thumbs up for Footloose! When are they going to remake that into a kdrama?
*sudden realisation that Footloose would make an AWESOME kdrama*
A drama writer somewhere is now trying to figure out how to fit a sexy exorcist priest into this scenario.
And a truck of doom.
The male lead as the rebellious son of a Chaebol family and female lead as a poor hard-working Candy who uses dance to escape from her seven thousand menial part-time jobs.
@leetennant That’s backwards! Ren is the poor hard-working candy.
@blnmom That’s against the Law of Kdrama and they would be punished by the Gods.
I agree with @blnmom. Ren is the candy! It’ll be a trope-subverting drama!
Ariel could be the daughter of the sexy exorcist priest? who doesn’t allow dancing.
I always think of Shrek 2 with this song, if they ever remake that into a k-drama I just hope the cgi is better than Mama Fairy’s lol
Should this be sung to the tune of the Pete Sieger song?😛
I’m not familiar with Pete Sieger so feel like you’re maybe making a tongue-in-cheek reference I’m not getting. 😉
The song was performed by Bonnie Tyler for the 1984 film, Footloose. I believe the song was written by Dean Pitchford who wrote the screenplay.
Ah. I see. There’s a war-song called “where have all the flowers gone” by P.S. 🙂
I never saw Footloose… It’s on Netflix here right now. Perfect. 💕
