To be honest, I wasn’t a fan of the cliché plot. How do you describe these kind of set ups? The tragic connection? The ‘oh no it’s me who caused you all the pain & sufferings!’ aka the leads spend more than half the show being in the dark & fall in love before the cameo of noble idiocy to end this. I’m so sick & tired of these tropes, I almost hate them. But I’m so intrigued by Jennifer, I had to keep watching.

I was on the fence for the first half of this drama. I mean, I built a figurative fence and called it the F.I.N.S.E and sat on it overlooking the show people and punting them snacks and going “I’m just on the fence about this show”.
But overall, it’s just such a joyful show. It has terrible pacing and a threadbare plot and a whole heap of characters it never used but it was just so… nice. It was the drama equivalent of puppies and fluffy bunny clouds. Hot chocolate with marshmallows and kittens in laundry hampers.
So it’s one of my favourite dramas of 2018, despite all its flaws. Also, I love Jennifer (as you can see).
