This scene is bulls***

I hate Jinwoo here. Yeah, I get that he has been driven to the edge and needs all the affirmation he can get but the writer is selling this as romantic. Now, that is just wrong.
This girl has practically given up her life for you and even her little brother. We know it’s because she’s irrational and dumb a.k.a. damsel in love. And you still need her to prove to you? Love or madness?

Writer-nim, do us a favor. Viewers don’t need an excuse for a kiss scene. Well, if you can’t think of a good one, skip it altogether. Don’t even try.

On a different note. I think PSH did good in this scene. She looked as uncomfortable as she should be. Heck, how is this romantic? Guy looks like Hyun Bin but is actually a zombie trying to suck the life force out of her. No wonder she leaned backwards instinctively.

God even their first kiss is entirely about him. Man I’m glad I dropped this.

It was terrible LT! 😢 I cannot believe this is the romance the show is promoting – he’s a game and drug addict at this point, unemployed, twice divorced, limping, murder suspect, just lost his friend (Sec Seo who died helping him) — and she’s supposed to be this paragon of virtue who is standing steadfast by his side as he goes through this difficult phase of his life. 🙄 Never mind that he lied to her about her brother for a year (yes she knows) and that brother is still missing. I’m just…UGH.

And I still don’t see why there’s any romantic feeling at all. Is it because he gave her 10 bn won? Or is it because she grew attached while she took care/babied this person she didn’t know, a year ago. Or is it because she saw him fall down those stairs? I really dont get it. The history doesn’t justify this at all.

In fact what the show tells us is that this guy falls in love with her BECAUSE she stayed with him and he too, is awed by her devotion.

It just didn’t make sense to me either. I do hope this writer is not losing the idea he/she did with W last year.
And Hyun Bin looked so washed out and exhausted. Was he supposed to look that way?

W didn’t make me so angry. I couldn’t follow the plot and gave up after a while.

This drama invokes stronger reaction. Usually if a show is meh, I just drop it without much ado. I don’t know if it’s because I liked the initial episodes quite a lot or that this whole Hee Joo thing annoyed me so much.

Same. I still like the plot overall. The evil game and all that, but the execution has left a lot to be desired.

Yeah. After everything Jin Woo went through, Hyun Bin should be looking that exhausted in that scene. In fact I was disappointed by how perfectly washed and combed and soft and stylish his hair was – everything else seemed on point

I was quite distracted by how perfect his hair stayed, but there wasn’t even a 5 o’clock shadow for god’s sake. His face looked wan and washed out – but the rest didn’t fit.
This show has been fun since the beginning, but today I found myself disappointed and wondering where the story is going.

So true lol. Where was the 5 o clock shadow. Outtie’s point is really apt – no wonder she leaned back and away from him.

I disliked JW from the beginning of this ep. After he ran away wanting to complete the ‘quest’ and not meeting Seo’s family at all. Then he jumped to Korea, and threw a hissyfit and went totally cray2 and start throwing punches. Then he returned to be alcoholic. And then he was self absorbed wanting proof from HJ. What on earth.

JW became unlikeable to me in ep 11. Even HB’s dimples can’t change it. Huuuu

Anyone else hoping he doesn’t survive the game?

It’s not that he ran-away, it is that he is a man of action… it is of no use to stay and hear the family of secretary Soe cry and throw a tantrum at him, when he is exhausted himself.

JW wanting to finish the quest so urgently is his coping mechanism (he is surviving like a soldier who can’t afford to feel anything, except remain focused on finding Se Joo who could possibly hold the key to the crazy game, or beating the game in order to survive). I wonder when the testers will get to level 4… JW’s warnings are falling on deaf ears.

I didn’t like him going back to drinking, but it seems that he is just so exhausted. He knows that once they turn the servers back on, he will be back in the game. It doesn’t matter if he was fired, he is not in the game because he wants to be, but because he is stuck.

It seems that in the preview, JW will make professor Cha his ally, because that is the only way to prove that he is not crazy and that the game is dangerous… which means that professor Cha’s life will be in danger now.

He needs to meet the family not to cry with them, but at least show some respect to the family members. Have a decency of a human being. He is not a game character, he talks about family, but he doesnt evem comfort Seo’s family when he claimed Seo is a brother to him.

He can resume playing after that. Whats the rush? The servers are down anyway. Not that him rushing to korea made any difference whatsoever 🤷🏻‍♀️

JW is too rushed. He needs to stop, analyze and think. But he doesnt. And never had ever since he played this game. He doesnt hear what others tell him but pushes others to listen to him huhu

Do we know if Jin Woo ever sat down with anyone and told the whole story from the start and what happened when he played the game? I know his secretary was there so he must have known.
But it looks like JW just tells people “I have to play…” but hasn’t explained what is going on in the game.
Maybe if he did that then they wouldn’t be so fast to think he was crazy. I mean, this IS an AR game.
I think more than anything that is what has bothered me the most – his lack of communication and expecting everyone to follow his orders without explaining anything.
Imagine how the story would have been if he told all the developers what happened and they could have helped. Or if Director (now CEO) Park had played the game with him.
sigh. all those ‘what could have been’ moments…
