        I know, right?

Can I consider this my first real sageuk (outside of QIHM?)
        😎🤔

I’m intrigued with the historical setup for a zombie story. Zombies usually bore me. Sageuks usually bore me. But will the combo work work this time? To date, the only zombie tales I’ve enjoyed have been Train to Busan the novel The Girl With All the Gifts.

Same! It works here with Kingdom; the sageuk thread gives heft to the storyline, and the zombies add (meaningful) mayhem to the dull political intrigue.

Actually, the zombie background is well thought out and impressively real….I cant believe I’m saying this!?

Yeah, I can’t watch Saguek’s either. But in this context I like it. It’s more mysterious since it’s set it those times. Who would have thought we needed a Sageuk/Zombie combo :))
And I loved train t Busan!

Isn’t it fabulous? I’m on 6, and I already know it’s going to be impossible to last out the wait until season 2…

I’ve gotten to four; it keeps getting better! I’m so tempted to power through but I work early tomorrow.

Btw, I am loving the dainty episodes of 55 minutes or less!

Just completed 4!! Seriously, I was at the edge of my sofa throughout episode 3. Sunrise never looked more peaceful. Phew.
