First episode of The Light in Your Eyes killed it. Han Ji-min’s performance had me sobbing by the end. And when did Nam Joo-hyuk start giving me butterflies like this??
Probably stay away (although trope allergies can always be overcome). Han Ji-min is a whole 12 years older than Nam Joo-hyuk. But in the drama, they’re supposed to be around the same age.
I need additional dose of romance. Touch Your Heart once a week is not enough. If the real age difference is 12 years, I’m not sure NJH and HJM as same age couple will look believable. Thanks!
It looked okay to me so far. HJM looked like she’s only a few years older than NJH based on how I felt in the first ep. I didn’t know she’s a zodiac cycle older than him until I saw this post.
But I think that was the purpose in the story. She has the same age as NJH in the drama, but she looked older because she used the magical watch a lot when she was younger (there was a scene where she looked like a teen but she was only 10 years old). So, maybe that was the point in casting an older female lead.
I haven’t watched the first episode yet, but when the casting was announced, I remember thinking it was weird to pair Han Ji Min with someone so much younger and pretend they are around the same age. She looks great but does not look the same age as Nam Joo hyuk.
She was in more recently aired Familiar Wife, and Ji-min could hold her own against Ji-sung’s seasoned acting, so I don’t believe she’s a bad actress at all. And I would like to give Joo-hyuk a chance. He was pretty good in Weightlifting Fairy, and still fairly young.
I was pleasantly surprised that I like the first episode, a lot! Her family is just ♥️, and her rel/p with her brother is just 🤣🤣. I thank my lucky stars that I don’t have a brother but I supposed growing up with 2 sisters was just as trying.
Hehe, it’s been a while that I’m drowning in dramas that I want to watch…
Who cares if I have a life? It’s not like sleep is important. XD
But, thank you! <3 😉
Oh me too! I always thought Nam Joo-Hyul was very good-looking, but I never really saw him as a man but only a boy (since he is younger than me). But this k-drama is making me have butterflies and goose bumps every time he is on screen. He got a new fan!!!

Is it noona romance or not? I’m allergic to that trope.

isn’t she the actress from jekyll and hyde (hyunbin’s comeback drama)
isn’t she like a bad actress? older gen version of suzie? and he is not a phenomenal actor that we already know…
how good is the drama – acting saving it or script or both?
