Waking up in the morning
Waking up in the morning and having the confidence to live
Walking up in the morning with full knowledge that there is a bigger Power, a bigger Being, a Creator—a God— who loves you and will love you even when no one else will
Waking up in the morning knowing that there’s a new and full day ahead where mercies and grace are made new
The smell of coffee ☕️
Sunny side up eggs 🍳
The quietness of an afternoon with a good book in hand
The sound of children laughing
The sounds of your phone going off when a message comes in which makes your heart skip a beat… Who could it be??
The smell of the crisp winter air
The ability to take each and ever breath in on your own and to smell the many different smells of the world
The sunshine
The illuminating light of the moon
The blinding white snow that’s already fallen on the ground
The many different colours of the world uncovered and unseen
The feel of my bed that comforts me at night and makes me want to stay in it for “just 5 more minutes” every morning
Freshly washed, and ever so warm, clothes straight from the dryer
A warm hug
A peck on the cheek
A sweet kiss of the lips
A caress of the forehead
The warm hands of a lover, friend, family member
“Just because…” gifts
Long, deep conversations
Easy conversations
Inside jokes
Friendships and relationships that don’t need any explanations between each other
Silent conversations with those who “get you” and where words aren’t needed
Finishing each other’s sentences
Finding everything there is in the world to do with your special someone, but at the same time, doing nothing at all and finding the beauty simply being in each other’s presence
A letter or note from a loved one
Words
A good book
A good drama
A character you relate to
A character you sympathize and/or empathize with
A character that’s fun to hate
The beauty of winter
The lightness of spring
The greenness of summer
The falling leaves of autumn
The crashing sounds of the waves by the ocean
The intense blowing of the wind upon a mountain top
The crackling of the fire on a pit
The gritty sounds of the soil and rocks when stepped on
Cries of sorrow
Cries of rejoicing
Songs of praise
Words of encouragement, hope, and wisdom

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
– 1 Corinthians 13:13

I love the juxtaposition of these two lines — each SO poetic:

“The blinding white snow that’s already fallen on the ground
The many different colours of the world uncovered and unseen”

the snow covering things vs. the colors when uncovered — and then the “unseen.” a gentle reminder of all that’s bright even when it’s unseen. lovely. (also FRESH SNOW lovelovelove).

My inspiration were the 5 senses: Touch, smell, sound, sight, taste— thinking about the beautiful things that I experience every day and would like to experience, especially with loved ones
