Thanks for sharing that. I think some of these issues also dovetail into how the police respond to rape and sexual assault cases as well. Not that things are perfect for women everywhere but they certainly seem worse for South Korea.
I had read about the protest when it first happened but it wasn’t reported on to this extent then. Men posting pics of their wives genitalia, asking others to rate it?!! The woman whose assailant entered her motel room and then asked for forgiveness is unthinkable. I would not have dropped charges. He wants to hold his head up in society then don’t do things to be ashamed of.
You see by reading KKT messages of celebrities involved in recent scandal, that hey don’t see women as human, they don’t even refer to them as such, and they didn’t afraid of consequences.

Laws are as good as people implementing them. And with general attitude toward women in SK society, there is long way to come.
