I’m glad that I was spoiled about this ep. Dan-i asking them to reconsider just about broke me. Honestly, yes. She lied about her background. But what good was her having a degree and awards doing? You can’t even pawn those for food. I guess she could set them on fire to keep her fingers warm. At times all a degree feels like is another bill to pay. Without any of the rewards that you’re told a degree is supposed to afford you (a decent paying job, better life, BS).
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Who. CARES. If you’re uncomfortable having an overqualified person doing menial tasks. She knew that she was overqualified. Something in her life brought her to the point that made her realize/think that applying for something that was so far “beneath” her was the best option. If accepting your job was literally her BEST and ONLY option—can you think, for just one minute–what taking that job away from her is going to reduce her to? No, this isn’t a school club. Its a company. But YOU are the founders. YOU can make an exception. She works hard af and she is an excellent employee. Not once has she given you a cause for complaint. Y’all even looked a bit choked up at firing her. If its THAT HARD to let her go? OBVIOUSLY you are making a poor decision!
