I love to write. But over the past three months, I’ve seemed to have lost all inspiration and motivation. Is this writer’s block when I’m clearly an amateur? I lose confidence and patience so easily.
What do you like to write? Fiction? Non fiction? Poetry? Prose? I’m not a writer so I can’t help much but I think the best thing to do would be to not worry about it too much. I’m sure inspiration will come to you soon.
It used to be fiction… then it involved into non fiction and reflection pieces. So for reflection pieces to work, well in my case, it has to come from the heart. I’m hoping it does!
Have you ever read Cheryl Strayed’ Tiny Beautiful Things?
I doubt your in the same place as the letter writer but Strayed’s reply has advice on writing. I’m not a writer so not sure if it is helpful.
Ah I see! I suggested reading because I think the best writers are often those who read a lot. It’s not that they read for a purpose–they just love reading, what they learn through reading, and the language itself.
It’s good to just read around, within or outside the areas you’re writing in/ your usual areas of interest, to build knowledge and curiosity about people and things of all sorts.

If you can’t bring yourself to write, perhaps reading while waiting it out will help!
