I wish I am less cynical when watching dramas. Too often, I laughed when I’m very sure it wasn’t supposed to be funny. Romantic, sad or even scary(that’s why I can’t watch zombie shows) but not funny.

I chanced upon this yummilicious Chinese hunk Elvis Han while watching Monster Killer Wu Xin. Too bad, I found out that I don’t like monsters alongside with xianxia and I also giggled whenever the ‘monster’ or evil spirit appeared. So I went looking for another show with the actor in it and found that there were many fanmade videos of him in a recent drama – Siege In Fog. This particular scene had me howling in laughter. I am sure it was supposed to be romantic but darn my cynicism!

Guy and Gal in an arranged marriage. He loves her like crazy but she loves someone else. In this scene, he takes a bullet in his shoulder for her. He’s in immense pain, losing blood and faint. She realizes how much he loves her and decides to ‘give’ herself to him. Guy who seemed at death’s door a while ago, rises to the occasion and the two consummate their marriage. Maybe the blood flow got diverted?

Is the drama itself any good? I just finished watching another C-drama and now I have nothing to watch

I am passing on this one, not my type of drama.

Which C drama have you just completed? I finished All Is Well which is superb and haven’t found anything to watch since.

Within the last couple of months while on a K-drama slump, I’ve just been binging C-dramas lol Ones I’ve completed (not in order):
        – Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms a.k.a. Eternal Love
        – The Flame’s Daughter
        – Sweet Dreams
        – Ashes Of Love (favorite one I’ve completed)
        – Because Of Meeting You (Chinese remake of S.Korea’s “Jang Bo Ri Is Here!”
        – I Will Never Let You Go a.k.a. Legend Of Hua Bu Qi
        – Here To Heart
        – Story Of Yanxi Palace (watched it with my mom)

Wow! That’s an impressive list! Of these, I’ve watched 3310, Ashes of Love and Yanxi(probably I’m your mom’s age). I make a lousy viewer of romance and fantasy and so many of these in C dramas.

For the longest time, my heart wouldn’t let go of and wouldn’t move on from “Legend Of Hua Bu Qi”, but I forced myself to do it, and I’m happy that I did lol Because I’ve found another gem in “Ashes Of Love” that will now have my heart for a very long time and will be a permanent fixture on my re-watch list 🙂

I don’t watch this drama, but I can relate to the feeling of being too cynical to appreciate a dramatic love story on TV shows. (Or perhaps this is all the fault of that pesky thing called logic.)
