This is why Dora is awesome. The way he walks a few steps down to meet her in the eye is what Dora would do.
And What was Fu Pei doing – well see for yourself!
True that. He definitely brings character nuances to life. I am sure we will be seeing him as lead in future. It will hard to shake off this character from him.
Agree.. the consistency in writing and characterization is quite amazing. The fact that we can discuss so much in a single episode shows how much thinking has gone into the writing and details.
Like I said before, not only is the friendship/relationship between Wei Yi & Momo on level and equal ground, he also TREATS her equally… Fu Pei probably always looked down on her in some way because he’s always been the playboy type (until he discovered his true feelings for her… but then again, his feelings only came out only because he felt insecure when seeing Momo’s relationship/friendship with Wei Yi) and has always seen her as ‘just another girl that likes him’, or even as a younger sister-type kind of friend because they’ve known each other since young, and then this attitude of looking down on her translated physically in how he treats her
I don’t think he ever liked her that way. He was mopey simply because she was not his anymore. I dont see much hopes for his relationship with ShanShan either.

I was just rewatching these scenes! And yes, you can really see the difference between them through these small things.

this speaks so much of their character. ugh dandruff.
but lets give the character’s actor a break. He plays such a dislikable character so well.

Aughhhh I was rewatching some scenes this week and your post reminded me how even back in their highschool Fu Pei would always do this to her.

I just love that the PD and Writer of the show are so attentive of these little details which speak volumes of who these characters are as people!!
