Third, I love the way Hoo said, “And what do you think happened to an angel that loved a human more than the Deity?” Um, he got to live as a human with free will and had to deal with tragedy?
I love it because on the one hand he’s trying to discourage Dan from loving YS, and on the other hand, he’s really leaving the door open for him, without Dan knowing that.
This gives me so much hope that Dan might live as human and be with Yeon Seo! I’m sure they’ll find a way to circumvent that tragedy. *crosses fingers*
I’m glad that this episode showed Kang Woo wasn’t as evil as I thought he was. He was temperamental even in his previous life as an angel (which strikes me as really odd) but at the moment, it looks like the only crime he gravely committed was to fall in love with a human.
If that was a “City of Angels” scenario, he did not get very long with his lady love. Did you notice that his love’s dress in the church scene looked (to my eyes anyway) like the dress she died in?
Did not notice, but I think you’re right. Did you check JKW’s outfit too?
Just wondering — Dan is always protecting YS. But maybe JKW stopped being able to protect his wife the moment he renounced being an angel — and the result was that she died. As an angel he might have been able to protect her, but he chose to be with her instead.
