While many of you like palindromes, I quite like ratios. And so I’ve been keeping an eye on this ratio since I started being active herr around Nov 2017. It was around 1:2.4 then (if I remember right) and I’ve slowly watched it inch towards 1:3. Slowly, painfully. I don’t like decimals, and much prefer whole numbers. 1:something is fine so long as the something is a whole number. 🙄 But I just realised that even if it does eventually reach 1:3, it will be exactly equal only for a minute, before becoming a decimal again. Suddenly my efforts in keeping track of it seem to be wasted. 😥 What is this stupidity.
Everyone knows the value of the ratio is in trying to increase it so that the relationship between your posts and your likes is over a certain arbitrary value i.e. 4.
For example, mine was stuck on 3.8 for so long I was starting to think it was destiny. Then it inched up to 4.2 for a while and now it’s back under 4 and I feel like a failure.
Wow – from @bcampbell1662 comment, I now know that relatively speaking, people like me more than @ChinguMode and roughly as much as @Egads. My life here is complete.
@leetennant, Tennant is quite a good surname for a character. As is Greenfields. Egads – on the other hand – is quite tricky to fit in. Any tips @Egads? As you already wanted a pre-purchase button for this book, I feel you should be in it too.

I do like the two old biddies too but I think I should point out that this book isn’t a murder mystery but a serious work of literary fiction critiquing society’s view on beauty and relationships.

What, you basically mean decrease the ratio such the denominator is at its maximum possible greatest value over the numerator (assuming the numerator is ~ 1 in our ratio).
But basically I see people like what you say. 3.8. 4.2. 4. 😱 I can’t even imagine these numbers – as you can see, I can’t even seem to touch 3. 😥 How can you call yourself a failure in the face of my failure? Who are you saying this to? 🤧
I won’t brag about my ratio, which is probably one of the few things in my life that I don’t obsess about, but I will blame the two of you if I do start.

My likes have been fairly consistently at 1:3 the entire time although they’re just inching over that do I may get to 1:4 eventually we’ll see.
I once made a word doc comparing all the top Beanies stats. Likes, comments, ratio of, comparison between fan wall and recap comment counts, time on Dramabeans etc… I was gonna work out everyone’s rate of posting but couldn’t be bothered.
What can I say, I like numbers.
If I had everyone’s data on what their stats were when they leveled up I could make an equation for leveling up too but I don’t have that data.
I love this.
I’ve found myself doing this and then have to shake myself out of it.
What is it with the power of the like button? I dont even want to know what a dislike button would do to me.

Gotta say one cant help noticing that ratio. I also totally understand @leetennant saying she feels 🙁 if the ratio goes down. HAHAHA it is stupid, but it IS a thing.

My failure is from the decline in the ratio, not the in the absolute value of the ratio. It’s a relative not absolute failure.
