I was waiting for that kiss, but the more I think about it, the more awkward it seems to me. If you look at their feet, they’re standing at least a foot apart, and he’s leaning way over to kiss her. I don’t know if it was deliberate or not, but it really expresses the fact that there’s still some distance between them, namely Kim Dan’s secrets. Just comparing to the hug at the end of SLOMS, where DMI and JGH have completely reconciled and confessed, and there wasn’t an inch left between them.
It felt very awkward, but the way you interpret it kinda made me laugh cuz I’ve always thought of Kdrama kisses as usually being that awkward until they’re not (e.g. Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo in Boyfriend). I’m not laughing at YOU, tho, it’s an interesting way to think about it.
