As expected of Suji the mother hen. She simply couldn’t look away from wounded souls, Do-han included, even when she still can’t forgive that person.

I always love a good killing-with-kindness move, even if the one doing it didn’t realize it. And this eps is no exception. It made for a very delicious conflict that what pushed Do-han’s guilt over Yoona’s death to resurface was Suji’s tentative kindness and concern for him. Her gratefulness after he gave her a way to meet her mom, the way she told him to be careful (he looked like someone who hasn’t heard a well-wish in a very long time, which probably true), how she asked him about his dad and gave him a time to reminisce about those innocent days.

Sometimes, I wonder if receiving good words and sincere care from others (like Suji and Eunjoong) hurt Do-han so much because it reminded him of the kind of person he was once. A person he couldn’t turn back to after everything is said and done.
