Near the beginning of episode 1, when she is looking up at the moon and says to her self she is sick and tired of the moon, the look on her face is not one of longing nor sadness; it is one of at least anger. What is she angry about? Her unending life? I don’t buy it. Since there’s not been any mention of reincarnation nor repeat visitors, I haven’t bought into the she’s waiting for her lover to be reincarnated thread…
MW’s character is at least intelligent and clever (wisdom tbd); stubbornness is utterly obvious. If she’s been around for a thousand years and wants to continue to do so, there is a reason we don’t know, yet. I hope the sisters (too bad they aren’t three – could justly call them the Fates) have a more complex character for us.
