So, one of my storytime moms came up to me on Wednesday. She points at me and says, “are you the kpop fan?”
I have no idea how or why she knows this about me but YES’M. And she tells me about how her teenage daughter is a HUUUUUGE fan of BTS and Got7 and that she’s seen both groups in concert at least twice.
Now, this is where it gets good, beanies.
At a concert this year or last year (she doesn’t remember which) her daughter was in the front row and one of the guys grabbed her cell phone, turned, snapped a selfie with him and the crowd and handed it back to her. I feel like there was a jaunty hi-five included in this interaction, but I dont think thats what she said. It is, however, what I believe with my whole heart.
I, on the other hand just had to pay almost 300 dollars in taxes for my car that was totaled last year and should no longer be in my name as I turned over totaled car, title, and license plate to the insurance vampires. And then paid 50 dollars for a free oil change. And learned that my tires are down to the steel cords and I need ones. TODAY. Before I drive back to Cincy. But thats only going to cost 400.
So. One of us is living that good life. I’ll let you guess which one of us it is (its not me).

The family that is letting me stay with them until I get my life together is godparents to an adorable teenage girl who’s a huge BTS/NCT/GOT7 fan and I told her the above story and she stared at me intensely for a moment and said: Dead. Me Dead. Just then. Just now. Dead. Squeeing stole her very breath. I looked at her and said, “child, same.”

Wowza, you’re just attracting all the fans, aren’t you.
That girl did exactly what I did by the way. I’m still in shock and green with envy.
