Omo, Prosecutor Sohn is a scarier person that what I imagined. His rigid view about “taking a life in whatever manner, be it death sentence or euthanasia, is still murder” might come from a good place. But it would be really easy for him to slip into self-justification, doing questionable things for the so-said greater good, to ultimately protect his own belief. It seems that the drama also hinted at a more personal grudge, judging from how the dead kid in eps 1 has the same first name as him.

I can’t wait for his face-to-face confrontation with Yo-han, because Sohn Seok-gi can be scarily intimidating when he wanted to. Like this scene when he cornered Shi-young simply because she is Yo-han’s trainee. (And OMG, I’m so thrilled to see Lee Kyu-hyung playing this kind of potentially grey character!)

Definitely its also personal. His sons kidnapper’s suffering was ended by Dr.Cha.
Also, as a prosecutor isn’t he in the same boat – they can ruin someones life completely due to bad evidence/argument.
At this point, he is harassing an ex-convict who served his term in prison legally. If he failed to get 10 years for him, then its his failure. He has no business coming here and acting all mighty. He aint no god.
But, his presence is quite intimidating and he is picking the emotional one.
Finally, he is getting screen time..

Yep. When I read the characters description prior to the drama’s first eps, I thought he will be one of the good guys. But from this scene, it’s probably safe to assume that they’re setting Seok-gi up as a potential villain in this story. I need Shi-young to stay far away from him.
