I’ve started Go Go Squid.
Why is this girl so obsessed with Old Han? She is creepy and stalkery and I don’t want them to ever get together.
At first I thought she recognized him from CTF but no. She’s just a stalker.
I’ve watched the first two eps. And ok, stalker may be going a bit far but she is thirsty af. She’s met him for all of literally 5 minutes and in that time frame she’s offered him free food (normal), and a weeks worth of free internet usage/overnighters (ummmm….) scammed him out of his wechat id (I’m too old to know if that’s normal. I feel like no.) And sent him 50 million thirst trap messages (which seems pushy and desperate but still in the range of normal of the scamming of the id is normal).
I believe it’s the cousin making use of the cafes surveillance cameras to get Old Hans username in the game, borrowing someone else’s username to log on and catch his attention and her waiting up all night to play this game with him that she doesn’t even bother learning how to play that pushes it over the line into creepy territory for me.
Although we did get a begrudging (reeny tiny eensy weesney)smile from our grumpy Old Han after the first time they play together. So I guess it’s worth it?
In spite of all the cute cuddles the drama provides in the sneak peaks at the end I’m still not convinced I want them together, though.
The first few eps are a bit rough. Lots of flash backs and yelling too. But it finds it groove. She is completely in love at first sight, but the stalker traits go away soon.
Now it’s Old Han kind of getting on my nerves. Whenever he’s CO fronted with anyone from SO he huffs and puffs and makes a big deal out of turning around to storm out but all anyone has to do is put their hand on his shoulder and he stops, storms back in and then makes a big deal out of pouting. Old Han. Stop it
Ok, on the first day of the competition Old Han made it pretty stinking clear that he wasn’t in to Little Squid so I don’t really get why she was giggly with her sister and brother in law afterwards about him. She even thinks to herself that she confessed and was rejected. So why she shows up to the next days competition is beyond me.
I wish that she and her sister had done something to get in. She’s supposedly even more famous than Old Han is supposed to be so maybe burst into song and dance, do an impromptu video outside of the arena….something….at ALL to get in other than show up and look mildly disappointed when someone doesn’t just automatically let you in again. Oh, accept I spoke to soon. That’s happening now.

So far I see her as the 19 year old she is. From the episodes I have seen it really has not gone that far, yet.

It gets better. Character growth and change for the better does happen. ‘Tis the best part and why I like the show so much
