“Regardless of whether I am responsible for wrongdoing, I am very sorry to the fans who might be disappointed because I canโt tell them what they want to hear.
I have prepared myself to accept the unilateral public sentiments that will come as a reaction to the choices I have made above, so please send your honest opinions to me as you like. It is my hope that after enough time passes and our anger has died down, there will come a time when we can laugh together and look back on the past.”
Apparently he and a couple of his DS:60 co-stars were at a play and a little too loud in the audience. They laughed at a inside joke from someone on the stage and the audience went to interweb to write about it.
Basically is what we deal with when we are in public settings with people and you get pissy for a few minutes about it and then….I don’t know, go on with life.
If they are celebrity what are the odds that audience themselves were more focused on them than the play?
How often do we watch other peopleโs expressions/laughing while watching a play.
There is always a few people who will annoy you. Well, people eating chips in theaters annoy me. Can I get an apology?
I can forgive the eating and the smacking, but I cannot forgive your area looking like a tornado ran through it. This ain’t your home, pick up your trash.
I donโt go to theaters any more. I just invested in a super large TV.
EVen when I go, I go for the morning show. Itโs usually much quieter on Sunday morning 11am shows.
I saw his post on IG at 6:30am this morning and feverishly tried to find the (English) article that would explain what was going on. I know it’s a cultural thing but the Netizen reeeeally need to get a life… I mean, I once had a lady and her daughter talk throughout a whole movie at the cinema. You don’t see me writing a petition, asking for an apology. even worse, saying that I’m not happy with the apology!!!
Poor Kang Han Na…
PS: and yes, @jrr , I absolutely love this actor. I went out of my way to re-watch all his scenes in Sense8 on Netflix just the other day. *swoon*
I think I have asked for my money back once because of a person just going a mile a minute during the film. Most of the time I can tune it out, but this dude, naw, couldn’t do it.
No petition but I’ll ask them to shut up so I can enjoy the movie that I paid for tbh.
I’m not sure the level of noise and the kind of play they were watching but the general rule is not to be a disturbance to the actors and fellow audiences. Unless someone from the production said something about it, it probably becomes an issue because who they are, not exactly what they do.
oh, I gave her a piece of my mind afterwards, trust!
however, I wouldn’t feel the obligation to publicly shame her for it. People feel a little too entitled to their celebrities’ actions.

I saw them trending in Naver but did not know what it was really about. His statement is wow!, it takes guts to be that straightforward.

if you’re cool with the very vast rainbow that is love, then Sense8 is right up there for you. It is very LGBTQ2+-centric in its story-telling.

When I saw the Truman Show in the theater, the confused lady (total stranger) next to me kept asking ME what was happening. It was pretty amusing.

Wow!! I usually donโt follow/read such news. But this gif had my attention.
What, 300 people attended the play? How is this an issue that itโs in the news!
SSG – well said. I love his work and I love the way he wrote the statement.
