Hey Beanies. I just watched a J-drama “Takane to Hana”. Haven’t read the manga, so I don’t know if it’s a faithful adaptation, but I enjoyed it. It’s short too, so I was able to finish it in 2 days. The poor headstrong female lead and the rich whiny male lead reminded me a lot of the leads from Boys Over Flowers. But episode by episode you saw some form of character growth, which was heartwarming to see. And they call each other out on behavior too, which feels rare.

I loved that drama. Tha whole bycicle substory was amazing on its own. Everything was so wholesome about this show.

What were your thoughts about the second leads?

I think we may be talking about different dramas. “Takane to Hana” was about a high schooler who took her sister’s place at a marriage interview and didn’t let the company heir push her around. This drama was so short, it didn’t have well-developed second leads, so I can’t answer your question.
You might be thinking of the drama “Takane no Hana” about the daughter of the flower arrangement company. There’s unfortunately a one-letter different between the two drama titles, and the MDL link that I have in my post has Takane no Hana (with an “N”) but the actual webpage links to the one that I watched. And I didn’t explain anything about the plot to avoid spoilers.

Oh, I see, I didn’t click on the link. Actually, the “to” one looks interesting. I will check it out.
