wish that when i talk about age gaps in dramas but hell any media and me not wanting to hear about old ppl with 5 yr olds people got where im coming from. the trend is gross.
im oversimplifying these points but: visually it is ridiculous and shows how long men can exist and be powerful through age but women cannot. it’s absurd at this age gap. even worse with a more outwardly like patriarchal society. idek. i hate watching dramas with this shit.
it’s socially irresponsible as well, because the power imbalances are clear in already murky waters. the hierarchy of age (im talking specif with dramas, in a confucian context) also makes it FUCKING WEIRDER. i hate it. it’s not that i don’t believe people can live their life. frankly, i don’t care. what i do believe is that men should stop being weird and if women/female presenting etc had this “preference” NEARLY as much as men did it wouldnt be an issue but even with that there are still problems. it’s weird in all types of sexualities!!!
yes im being judgey no im not saying guillotine. it speaks to a larger problem and that’s why a lot of us get fucking annoyed when we see it. it’s not fucking rare. ugh
