it’s been about a month since I’ve posted here, but I came here to take the time to talk about a scene i LOVED in Moment At Eighteen.
The show is generally heartwarming, but not groundbreaking, but sometimes certain scenes hit you in the gut and make you ponder for a long time.

I’m referring to the scene where Da Heen asks Oh Je if he likes Hwi Young and a girl leaks the information. Da Heen, who had been hurt and needy towards him up until then IMMEDIATELY changes tune and cries in apology.

I felt that deep in my soul. When someone hurts you and you want to hurt them back but you still love them and the immediate regret you feel when you hurt them in a way you didn’t mean to.

I’m not a fan of coming out stories because I feel it has been overdone in western television (yes, not in korean tv) and sometimes content gets saturated. But THAT scene. Wow. yes. It wasn’t about being gay but a friend hurting another.

I don’t have much time to watch dramas nowadays, (doing a masters AND working hard time is real tough, who would’ve thunk it?) but I tuned in to watch only that part of the episode. Then I rewatched it five times. (I apologize Jun Woo and Soo Bin I dont have time you poor cuties)

End of comment.

    Yes that was the highlight of ep 13 for me as well! That was such a great, moving scene. I love the growing friendship between them.

    quoting this cuz it needs more ♥️♥️♥️♥️

    +++++

    Oh Je doesn’t seem like he needs protection. He doesn’t look like the kind of guy who cares about what people,who don’t matter to him, think, but it’s nice to have Da Heen ready to get him out from those eyes who judge him unfairly.

    Ohhhhh if there was a time jump in this drama, I’d love to see adult Da Heen and Oh Je doing things together as besties! 🥰

      Oh Je did tell her in an earlier episode he was closest to her among all the girls! I have no doubt they will be close.

      Im so glad someone else LOVED that scene as much as I did. the two actors played it perfectly. Big props to Da Heen for the raw crying

    Yes, it was very well done. A later scene with them was also touching.
