The Great Show:
I don’t know how I feel about it. It’s entertaining enough but I don’t know if I like Wi Dae Han. He’s an asshole – a very selfish one but I feel like he’s just been so occupied and obsessed with his goal that he has forgotten that he doesn’t have to be a dick.

LSB’s character, on the other hand, I’m sincerely indifferent to. There’s zero chemistry between her and WDH and I feel if they took her character out, you wouldn’t even notice. I hope LSB gets to participate in a project that she’ll be worthwhile.

Da Jung is killing it. She’s already matured beyond her age but every now and then, you can see that she’s still a child that should be catered for.

I actually like Wi Dae Han even though he gets on my nerves at times. I think he is blinded by his ambitions and he thinks this is the way to achieve the goal. He is trying to play the same game as other politicians without the evil component.
But if he is just himself, he has a better chance of making it. Fundamentally he is a decent person. Even when he ran to save that child ‘it was him that ran’. That was his true self. But one after the save he made politics.
Even when he interacts with the children or makes rules, he is genuinely being a good parent/person.
I am so looking forward to his growth and finding his path. he is stuck in his rut and he needs to come out of this.
And I think the kids are helping him grow to be a better human.

agree on LSB character. She has better chemistry with Kang Jr honestly.

I agree with you. I really think he’s genuinely a nice person who is blinded by his ambitions. And its said ambitions and the obsession to attain his goals that has made him into a selfish dick! I don’t not like him but I definitely don’t like the ass he’s becoming. But that’s the whole point to taking custody of the kids – his growth. It’s something I’m looking forward to.
I just want him to tell Da Jung he’s not her real father. He doesn’t know the amount of hurt he’s afflicting.

I don’t find him innately bad, yes he is lying but the world we are in with these characters, he is one of the best people in politics. Politics is dirty and that’s exactly what they are trying to show about the other politicians. I also think that even if incredibly selfish, he isn’t causing much harm, again in the context of the world he is in and how other people in his field are. What I do think is selfish and wrong is him not telling DJ that she isn’t his real daughter. Due to that it’s all a show, a lie but he does seem to invest in caring for the kids. I do love the wacky humor though. It lightens the mood instantly.

I don’t think he’s terrible and while I don’t hate him, I do still think he’s a selfish character. I understand why he’s selfish and I understand that politics is dirty and all but it doesn’t change the fact that almost everything he’s done so far has been incredibly selfish and dickish!
It’s obvious his true nature is genuinely good but good people do bad, stupid and selfish things.

Don’t get me wrong, me saying he’s a dick doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy his character. I just feel it doesn’t change that. And I think his selfishness is hurting Da-Jung way more than he thinks.
On top of being the head of the house at a young age, she truly thinks she’s being rejected by her biological father. It’s obvious she’s under a lot of pressure and her mask is starting to wear thin. From the school scene, she has no friends and probably finds it hard integrating with her peers. These were problems she mostly likely had before and I’m sure her feeling of rejection form her father will tip that iceberg soon enough.
That’s my big problem with him.
