Drunk Lan Zhan stealing chickens and doing graffiti was very much needed after all that tragedy. I’m also betting that if this scene is in the novel he gets a bit, well, hands on so to speak.
I have to get back to this, work got in the way. The eps are like eating potato chips once you start watching.
I have the novel pulled up on my phone in case I want to dive in.
Drunk Lan Zhan are some of my favorite scenes. I love how he steals chickens for his lover and then scrawls ‘Lan Zhan was here’ on the poor peoples post. Then his adorable admission he likes bunnies (and then gets flustered when Wei Ying mentions he said he liked something). 😍
Kudos to the whole production for being able to slyly imply what we all know is there while still avoiding the ax of the censors. These boys do so much with a look or a seemingly casual gesture.
