Arthdal Chronicles Ep 15 – 16:-

Honestly, it is no use using logic to talk about this show at this point, it is why I haven’t made any posts about it even though I am (somehow) still watching this. None of this is breaking news, but here it goes anyways-

1) Remember when Saya’s character held promise? When he breathed new life into the show? When we all liked him? Yeah….where is that dude? He started out being an interesting mix of evil mastermind & compassionate ruler, & you never knew which way he would flow at any given moment. Then…they did away with the compassion, did away with the mastermind as well, & all that is left now is a daddy-issues blood-thirsty dumb creep who pretends like he knows shit about politics and is obsessed with a girl who pretty clearly doesn’t like him (or does she?). Bruh, you ain’t getting no girls by salivating over blood like that & chasing after your daddy dearest with your tail between your legs. Yeah yeah, they want to show how its all a cycle – Tagon was the exact same. But man, at least try to do it well.

2) But that has been this show’s weakness right from the start. None of the characters have been fleshed out enough. I THINK I was supposed to feel something for Tagon & Taelha, but I don’t. I THINK I am supposed to feel something for Eunseom, Tanya & Saya, but I honestly don’t (Tanya got a taste for power? Since when? SHOW us, don’t tell us). Also, for a show that is so heavy with politics, all the major players are dumb as rocks. It is like watching a bunch of people play chess…except they have no idea how to play it. None of them are fit to rule. I can’t believe that this is what the show was building up to – Eunseom, a teenager who can’t even spell out “strategy”, amassing an army by dumb luck & taking Arthdal by force. The End.

The real teenagers of our times would be offended.

3) The world building is a joke (who even were the children of Shahati? 😐 & where the heck did the horse go?!), the fantasy has taken such a back seat that I don’t even know what the difference between a human & an igutu is anymore. The romance….let’s look at all the lovelines in this show – Tagon & Taealha MEH, Eunseom & Tanya MEH (they have been together for ONE ep), Tanya & Saya MAYBE (if Tanya is also power hungry then maybe they are perfect for each other. Better than two people who have been apart for 14 1.5 hr eps), Eunseom & Xabara OOOH. There was a time when I shit shipped Eunseom & Taealha, but eh. So yeah, the romance is also bleak. Basically, WHAT WAS EVEN YOUR POINT ARTHDAL?!

4) What is up with Yangcha?! This show better give me answers about why we have been lingering so much on him.

5) So…Eunseom is Ishinaigi or whatever & Saya is Aramun Haesulla? I am going to crack up if “the end” that has been prophesied about so much in this show is triggered because Eunseom & Saya have a fist fight over who Tanya loves more. That would be the cherry on top of the icing.

6) Highkey disappointed the Momo clan didn’t turn into actual mermaids when they touched water.
